This is so perfect, I'm so glad you wrote a fic about that moment in Angels, because I think it was an important moment between them as a couple. But as per usual, it's something that's left open. Which is good, because then we get awesome interpretations such as yours!
I love how much Eleven cares for her here and is desperate to show it.
And I like the lighthearted moments, they happened realistically rather than 'lol let's stop being sad now'.

This is wonderful! I love the way that you addressed this! The Angles Take Manhattan has always stuck with me, and not just because it was the end of Amy and Rory. We saw a lot more insight into River and The Doctor's relationship in that episode (I especially love it when he heals her wrist). And I've always thought it was very unfortunate that River felt she had to hide certain things from The Doctor. I'm so glad you had them talk about it, truthfully and in a satisfying way that they both understood. Wish this could have been in the series!

After all the angst of last night this story helps me to feel a little better. Even tho' Amy and Rory are supposedly alive in 1930's NY. Their not in the TARDIS and I will miss them.
I hated the way the Doctor and River were portrayed at odds and such. Your story made it much better for the picture I wanted to hold of them. I think I'm too involved . . . oh well!
