I was wondering about the empty chair as well since there ought to have been two of them: Gwaine's and Percival's. Of course it is possible that they will fill the seats with the knights who are present and when a senior one is not there then the next in seniority takes over and so forth. The empty chair could just be the 'perilous chair' that was always empty in the legend. Though I do think Percival was the one who eventually sat there. But until we know for sure (if it is even addressed on the show), I'm very happy with this explanation.

I'm not sure if that was suppose to be Merlin's seat it probably is in more private meetings. But did it seem like the table got bigger to anyone? Also shouldn't there be more empty seats seeing as Gwaine and Percy were missing? Well we can all believe the empty seat is for Merlin but I honestly have no clue what the writers and director were thinking. There isn't enough empty seats in the scene and who were all those other people/knights?

That bugged me in the last episode too, so this was perfect :)
