Oh my gosh, this was beautiful. Never in the world would I have guessed that this is your first fanfiction. It is so well-written and filled with great emotion. And don't worry about the length of the story, because it has something much more important: A real ending. I don't care wheter a fanfiction has 10 or 70 chapters if it finishes the plot it wants to tell rather than just stopping in the middle of things. So, thank YOU so much for writing. ;)

I like the way you've matured Aang and Katara's character's; she's right, he does need to learn how to heal! Trying to tame wild kimono rhinos is so... Aang.

Amazing story. And bullshit about saying that other people have written 70 chapters. 10 chapters is still something for you to be proud of.

You have a real talent for writing. That much is certain. I'm not sure if its something you wish to pursue but if it is I wish you the very best of luck. And your kind and tender words when reviewing people's stories is something that isn't all too easy to find in most people. (at least in my opinion.) Anyways, I'm glad someone else shares as much passion as I do with the relationship behind these two characters.
