I love how you chose to end this story! I was afraid it was heading toward a happily ever after ending (which is nice, but not exactly realistic). It seems that Dark Shadows always had twists and cliff hangers and I am glad you chose to do so as well. Even if you had ended it differently, however, I still love the story and your writing. I look forward to more and hope it comes soon!

When it comes to good storytelling, (to quote my own character) you, madam, are the definition of the word.
We need more strong female characters. I am hoping, in my next story, to rise to that challenge.
That said, I have to add (don't be offended) that your puncuation drives me up a friggin' wall. what is it about you and apostrophes? Find yourself a beta. I had one and now have two. And where typos still get through, I am beaten regularly over a misplaced semicolon or repetitive pronouns.
And, that said, I totally look forward to our future fictional acquaintanceship.

I really thought it was over when I read chap 24. I was content with it, happy everything had all worked out nice and neatly.
And then you do this! You wonderful wonderful writer! I'm so excited for the next installment you have no idea! What will happen-will everything fall into place once again for Willie? Or does fate have other plans? OMGGGG

Happy Holidays Everyone! Just want to thank you all for reading and the kind words and reviews. I always loved Willie and Barnabas in the early days. I clearly deviated way off the story line of the show, but I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I did take some liberties with Barnabas too... I like the old classic vampire traditions so thought I would meld that into this.

I have a little bit left on this story...plan to post something later tonight and then tomorrow. We will see where it takes me. Thank you again!

oh... and if you haven't checked out Mad Margaret's Willie and Barn stories I highly recommend. Very different from mine but truly enjoyable!

By the way, I love Barnabas mean and ferocious, but the old tradition about him not being able to cross a threshold where he wasn't invited didn't apply in the show. This is I suppose more in keeping with the more traditional lore even though, he is much much more powerful than any vampire before or since. I suspect you have him more powerful than the average vampire in your story with his ability to frighten so thoroughly in the dark and his powerful, dark presence in the flesh when he appears at the police station (that was GREAT!) Good writing!
