I love this story so much, it's one of my favorite Jade-and-Beck break-up fics ever. You have a great writing style and it's very impressive.

Angelic Gemstone chapter 1 . 10/28/2012
Nice fic here. You did a great job really getting into Beck's thoughts; it was so deep, and I just found myself wondering the same thing as him when I read that last line.

I really like this introspective piece on Becks character. It makes me rethink about I how I feel about Beck and Jade. Thanks for writing this.
ABCsoup chapter 1 . 10/26/2012
There are so many amazing things about these. Pretty much every other line was perfect and I absolutely love the idea of Beck writing letters.
greenkittycat chapter 1 . 10/25/2012
Loved this. And jade took her things and didn't seem like she cared but she's a good actress and sometimes people forget that maybe she's not always strong and mean, maybe when she's all alone in her room she crys and crys and no one can hear her and she doesn't want them to.
Sorry, I'm rambling
My favorite line: "Like all wars, he's somehow forgotten who fired the first shot" because it's so true
even lovers drown chapter 1 . 10/25/2012
Wow, I loved this.

I liked the focus on Beck and how their problems weren't just contained within their relationship but it was also his own issues with himself that chipped away at his composure and happiness. It was great seeing Beck make these realizations and become self-aware. The teenager coming of age thing felt very realistic.

I really enjoyed your writing too; your sentences were so fluid and clear. But sometimes it also felt a bit choppy? But in the best way because it fit how Beck seemed a bit bitter and lost after the break up. Also, I've always been drawn to the more subtle and understated styles. I just think that simplicity can create so much impact if done right and your words certainly made an impression on me. Like when Beck says that he can't stop thinking about her and "It's funny if you think about it. Give it a minute." I loved that. And this: ""Maybe you should go," Beck says. Tori leaves that note on top of the pile."

I thought your characterization of Tori and Andre were pretty spot on, especially with these lines: "Tori keeps looking at him like he's some kind of lost puppy she could save, and that's when he decides it's time to leave." / "Yeah, well," Andre deadpans. "I'm not Oprah, so just eat your damn waffle." Andre's line made me smile.

"You, uh, wrote it, read it to anyone who would listen, and like an hour later, you used it to light your cigarette." That line coupled with the one about the rest of the notes being used in the campfire were some of the saddest things I've ever read for this pairing. Maybe it's just the idea of Beck, who never really gets to show his emotions on the show, keeping his feelings to himself and then letting them go, but Jade's still kind of in the dark about them. I don't know, I find it sad.

Even though it was kind of heartbreaking (that last line, God), this is now one of my favourite fanfictions for sure. I'm sorry if this is too long or quoted you too much, but I ramble when I get excited after finding good stories.
Born Into Flame chapter 1 . 10/25/2012
As the previous reviewer said, this is fantastic. You have portrayed Beck's guilt in a phenomenal way, and you have beautifully explained why we never actually see him showing Jade how much he misses her. You've explained a lot of unanswered questions, and for that, I commend you. ...I think my favorite line is "It's funny if you think about it."

This absolutely left me speechless. It was amazing, and you're an incredible writer. I hope you continue to write more bade fan fiction, because this was some of the best I've ever read.
