| Everlight18 chapter 6 . 12/21/2016 "Oh, Hiccup," said Gobber sadly, but the boy ignored it, patiently weaving together flower stems with broken fingers, desperately trying to fix what was broken, while all the others wondered how in the world they would do the same. My heart just shattered all over the floor... Oh, this story is so bittersweet and angsty and I actually thought that he'd be okay as long as they got him out of there. That last line just plain killed me though... How he's so broken and trying to fix the world that he never broke in the first place. And the flowers... It just makes me want to cry. Your descriptions brought the story to life and I hope that you will continue it. It's isn't complete, is it? Because I'm hoping that Hiccup will be able to recover somewhat at the very least, even if he never fully gets better. Thank you for writing this! It's hard to find good stories that keep everyone in character and don't deviate into something sexual, especially in a fic that has torture. |

| 3elizabeth chapter 6 . 7/2/2015 I normally don't do this, but I have to plead for the next chapter! I really like this story and the characters especially Hiccup's plot within himself. It is a disservice to your characters and readers to simply abandon it at that point of Hiccup's insanity. I need to know if he comes out into his old reliable self, though if completely recovered is impossible then at least partially better- you know where he is almost normal but nothing is the same since. So please please please update this story! Thank you! |
