Don't feel bad, I've done that too. I liked your rendition of this. Would be interesting if you did this with other Disney stuff (I'm desperate for an Ursula story. How can anyone ignore the fact that she said she lived in the palace. What happened?)

I loved this story so much! I'm a huge fan of Pocahontas herself (my favorite Disney princess), the movie, and her and John Smith as a couple. I liked how you combined the dialogue from the movie with some of your own and the twists you incorporated in the story are awesome! I hope you write more P/JS fan fiction! I would love to read it! :)

Interesting twist here. I often wondered what John really thought about Kocoum (since he knew nothing of his existence before that encounter), and if he ever figured out if Pocahontas was already seeing someone, engaged, or married. I agree it was unfair that Kocoum died, but I have to wonder how the ending will play out since he's still in the picture...?

Wow. A much more complete rendition of the initial meeting. I like that you gave John a chance to redeem himself, something I think he should have done in the movie; both sides could learn and benefit from each other.
