every time I saw Cato die I would cry and felt so upset,You are an amazing writer,I am so glad that we both ship Catoniss,hopefully you can write more about them,they are really cool~

Wow. I...actually really loved this.

I'll be honest, this is probably the first of your writing that I didn't love from the get go. I tend to be put off a little bit by stories that directly copy and restate stories (I'm referring to the reaping at the beginning), so the beginning didn't grab me since I've read the Hunger Games and many fanfics that start with the same opening.

However! Once we got past that opening you really drew me in. And in hindsight, I can see exactly why you did the opening as you did, because it makes it easier to see where your story takes off and deviates from the original. So, I like how you did it, even though it didn't grab me initially.

Now, as to the story changes...when I saw the pairing I was honestly thinking, "Ew, Cato? Really?" I couldn't figure out how I could picture him as anything but a ruthless killer. I know in the book he does have a tragic and sort of redeeming moment at the end, where you realize he's just a young warped individual part of these horrific games...but he still makes that choice to keep killing if he can because it's all he knows, so trying to imagine him as a male lead was beyond hard. Had it been any other author I probably wouldn't have given it a shot. Shame on me! I'm really glad that I read it anyway because you made him (and Clove) characters all your own. You gave them their own backgrounds, their own complexities. You unraveled a little miniature story within the Hunger Games and you really made me feel for both Cato and Clove and like them as people. I really enjoyed this story, I like what you did with it, and I love how you ended it.

I wasn't happy at the end. I also wasn't exactly sad, or at least not just sad. It left me with that uncomfortable feeling that's neither positive nor negative, more just troubled. You managed to keep the horror, in other words, of the atrocity of having the Hunger Games, while putting a true and tragic love story in it (two really, if you count Clove and Cato's brother). You changed Katniss, you made her win without ever killing which made her seem almost a secondary character. I almost felt like Cato was the main character and we were just watching from Katniss' eyes, but I liked that. It left you with an feeling at the end when Cato dies, because he felt just as important as Katniss and was so vital to her survival. I don't know, I think I'm rambling now, but I really liked this story. I read it last night before bed but didn't have time to review till now, and I'm glad because I don't think I've stopped thinking about this story! Any story that keeps me thinking afterwards is always a good one I say:) Thank you for sharing! I don't know if you have any more Hunger Games themed fanfics but if you don't, I'd be really curious to see what else you could write in this world.

This was a great story. I personally wish Cato and Peeta had switched districts. A twist I would've loved was she had gotten pregnant by Cato (considering Cato's twin's history). Overall, 4/5. Great story!

OMG, that was really good! you have to continue this but make it so Katniss and Gale fall in love.

Really good story very well written! I would love to read the sequel if you still wish to write it. I think maybe you can have a love story with Gale and Katniss as they join the rebellion and maybe Cato didn'tdie after all but was kept as a prisioner to try to control Katniss should she not fall in line with Snows rules. I am just thinking that would be nice but if you do write a sequel I am sure it will be just as amazing as the first.

Hey there! I really enjoyed this fic, the way you built up the relationship with Katniss and Cato was really nice, although a bit fast but that's just as well, they are trapped in an arena where they have to fight to the death. I found the whole process that Katniss went through after she won to be really sad. She's heartbroken but she's still dragged through the interview with Caesar, man, that guy irritates me sometimes. Anyway, I do hope you decide to continue this with a sequel, I can't wait to see what you have in mind.
