Can you please continue this? It would be awesome to see Dean help Sam maintain his humanity despite the change since it is obvious he is still Sammy right now despite the black eyes and pet hellhounds are always interesting conundrum for hunter Dean to manage.

I read this and then had to rush to read "Long Live the King"; both are terrific stories with powerful imagery.
"'M sorry," says Sam, and he starts to sob again, despite his visible efforts to keep himself under control. "Sorry, 'm sorry, I couldn't – I had to – had to get you out. Had to."

Of course, if Sam ever gave in, it would be for Dean's sake.
I'm glad that in your stories Dean realizes this and stands by him.
