Ah, I love the garrus/shepard relationship, but one thing we always seem to lack in terms of fandom representation (even in game representation) is how far Garrus had lost himself while Shepard was dead. I wasn't expecting the fic to be as dark as it was initially, and yet it completely drew me in. Garrus had clearly divided himself between "Garrus, ex Cop" and "Archangel", and that dare I say split personality really was enthralling to read from. He was dark, edgy, and yet when needed, the same sweet turian we all came to know and love.

I really liked how you fleshed out other characters, particularly giving some name and personality to Garrus's 12. I also really marvelled at your sex scenes; while they were tantalizing, they never felt corny or overdone, just the right touch of class that made the scenes still hot while not being campy. For that I thank you greatly.

What a satisfying and thoughtful fic. Thank you for sharing. :)

I've read this story so many times. Its amazing. Emotionally charged, it is easy to identify and relate to the characters. I also prefer it to the canon version, which I still adore. Yes, there were a lot of grammatical errors but they didn't detract enough for me to not get lost in the story. You have a way to show angles and use perspectives that others overlook or ignore. For example: the way the reporter ambushes him with Shepard's death, and afterwards all he can see is the darkness in everyone. It was a deep way to show his trauma in a personal way, and why I think you are a great writer.

love it! i'm a huge SH/GR fan. you don't see a lot of good fic shipping those two and I'm so glad I stumbled acrossed yours. It was well worth the read.

Well, considering I've now read this twice, I should probably review the story, eh? ;)

First off, the bad.
LOTS of misused words and typos and spelling errors.

Now, the good.
Fantastic story-telling, really great emotional tension, lovely personal interactions. The darkness and depression/angst/misery was handled surprisingly well, and the banter and teasing was well done. I genuinely appreciate the LACK of dialogue from the game, as it shows originality and creativity. All characters were well portrayed; I never felt anyone was OOC even for a moment, so well done there.

All in all, I've really enjoyed reading this and I'll be checking out your other works, and commenting if I haven't already. :)

When I readed first three paragraphs I already fell in love with story
It sounded so...renegade! And I love renegade much more than (on my opinion) overrated paragon. You don't win war by being nice and cuddly

Wow that was really good! This AU version is awesomer than canon because of all the Garrus/Shep interactions. But it was raw and dark and surprisingly painful and emotions from both sides came through very coloufully and eloquently. Amazing story.

Loved this story! It's adorable and dark at the same time, and I definitely like it much more than the canon version, lol.
