I read this fic years ago and never left a review for some reason...shame on me because I really enjoyed it back then. (And I enjoy it now too, ha.) Despite the fact that this is a non-ninja AU, your characterizations feel true to their canon fight interactions, which I found pretty impressive because it can be hard to do that in such AUs.

I can't tell if I'm too tired to write out a review or too enthralled by your story to form the words I want to say. XD Either way, I simply adored every word of it. Your sentences and such flowed wonderfully; your grammar was practically solid and perfect, barely any mistaken noticed. And if there was one or two, then I didn't notice it!

I cannot believe I never left a review for this... I know writers say that reviews don't matter as long as the material is read & acknowledged but please, we all know reviews are literal tokens of appreciation. If a writer can take time out of her/his life to put her/his ideas out there, we readers can take a moment of our time to say thanks, too!

I thought this looked familiar but even on a second read-through, it reads as fresh and as well as the first time did. Your characterization of both, but most especially Sasori since this was mainly from his POV, was on the freakin' dot. How blasé and straightforward he is, how he detests waiting, how he was already thinking ahead of his 'moves' on painting, and the little thought-tribute to dear grandma Chiyo. How precious. Haha. At the end here, it really makes me wonder how Sai and him would have interacted. It is unfortunate that you don't have more stories contributed to these two but I guess I should be thankful that you decided to write for this pairing at all.
