Uh, Stiles comes across as pissy, petty and whiny. Both he and Derek are very out of character.
It's not...realistic; it doesn't feel like Stiles has any feelings for Derek whatsoever - when you like or love someone, you don't want them hurting, it's an instinct, basic human emotions. Also try not to use too exaggerating verbs - stormed to the window? not a good use. And the running idea? Really? This is the most illogical idea someone could ever have. Ever. What, he's just gonna run out of the house and run forever? Also, his attitude concerning being a mate? is unbased for. For someone who spends all of his time with them, having a best friend a werewolf, i doubt he thinks of any of them as "werewolfs". "I can't be a werewolf's mate" sounds kinda discriminating; as if he minds werewolfs in general. And seriously, considering him being a mate, it's incredibly dumb and annoying asking "why did you ruin my date".
