You know, I haven't shipped Sleeping Hook before and I kinda didn't even understand its allure, but after checking this story out out of curiousity, I think I'm hooked in.
Returning Aurora's heart really is the most romantic thing he would have done - nothing that OUAT writers wrote for his chase of Emma compares to that. It's a decision made out of complete selflessness and a genuine desire to help Aurora without expecting anything in return, and I love that. I love how a part of his redemption arc was written here - him deciding to stay and actually engage in some sort of labor for the town, earning his place, instead of leeching off someone else. Makes me feel sympathetic towards him.
I liked the minimalistic kind of style of this fic, because even with only a few words you still captured the connection those two were building between each other and presented it so realistically.

This is absolutely amazing. I like how you captured the same atmosphere as the show but made it about Hook and Aurora instead. And that last moment, when they are in bed togehter, god, my heart. I will come back tomorrow to read this again because this just made me unbelievebly happy so thank you for writing this!
