Reviews for Thirty Days of Phai
Tlyna52 chapter 32 . 10/29/2017
I just found this story today and couldn't stop reading until I finished it. Parts of it were so painful I wanted to cry for the pain those Hephaestion and Alexander both went through before they finally managed to get things together right. Loved that Cleitus survived and even managed to win their daughter (another lovely addition, I really love AUs allowing such things to happen). I wish in real history someone had killed Cassander. I know there have been some suspicions voiced regarding what he might have done both in regards to Hephaestion's death and later Alexander's but there is no doubt at all that he killed Alexander's son, Roxanne and Olympias. Glad he failed in his evil plot and got what was coming to him. I loved the ending, a perfect fairy tale. Beautifully done.

Dear too beauty,

A most fitting epilogue, coherent with the prologue. I have been following and enjoying your tribute to *our* Hephaestion and I admire you for keeping up this novel length fairy tale and adventure. It is a very AR minded tale, but it is soundly placed in *real* history, too and I like it to meet all the familiar characters in this manner.

All the best wishes, many thanks for sharing and very well done!

Dear Toobeauty,

What a lovely conclusion to this tale. There is nothing like a Happy Ending, i cheer and clap my hands! :) I can *see* Alexander and Hephaestion, Immortal together. The scenes in the cave with the Gods and when Hephaestion comes alive and then gives Alexander the Kiss of Life are so wonderful. I find this unusual AR most enchanting, like a fairy tale.

All the best wishes and very well done,

Dear too beauty,

I enjoy this tale more and more. It is so lovely and endearing, your little Hope is an unique and strong willed character of her own. Her *romance* with Cleitus makes me smile. I hope that they will be able to marry in due time.

Your rendering of the tragic events in Ecbatana is deeply moving, it always makes me cry when Alexander is bereaved of his dearest friend. Now he has a fond and loving family but it is simply not enough.

All the best wishes and eagerly off to next part,

First of all, I congratulate you for a great story, I really enjoyed from beginning to end.
I think the time spent alone in the cave was more than necessary, had to fix any resentment however small or old he was.
I loved that the union could take place between Cleitus and Hope, a couple very tender from the beginning.
To be honest what I liked about your story was that the protagonist of the story was Hephaestion and everything revolved in relation to it. Although sometimes our stories should convey the feelings of Hephaistion felt that somehow everything revolved around Alexander, of Alexander Hephaestion life depended, and although we tried to show a little more of Hesfestión think somehow Alexander eclipsed. In your story even thought about Hephaestion as the protagonist, I liked this version of Phai know from birth, and well ... we saw the king as companion of the tribune.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing these thirty days of Phai.
AlexYopPhai chapter 30 . 8/3/2013
You surprised me with the end, and left me wanting to know what will happen in the life of Alexander and Phai Phai never thought I would be revived.
And the last part where we saw Alexander left slowly dying was sad, I could feel his pain.
Anciosa to know how this will end.

Dear Toobeauty,

This is a most interesting AR tale. I feel sorry for KIng Philip and Queen Olympias, being assassinated in such a cruel manner - but something had to happen for Alexander to become King. It is an unusual version of the Murder in Macedon. Then Hephaestion all of a sudden becomes pregnant. It is a dangerous and difficult procedure. I am glad that Cassander's attempt on his life was thwarted.

The Bonding resulting in a Royal baby is unusual but endearing. Hope is a good name for the little Princess. She is most welcome, a true Miracle.

Dear Toobeauty,

Alexander's and Hephaestion's relationship is a complicated one. King Philip accepts their bonding, but not Olympias and many others, too. It is sad that they become estranged for a long time. Alexander's unfaithfulness with Farid and Nima is not right and the Olympians' interference makes me smile. Hera is most kind, she wants them to have their bonding back and the Mother and Marriage Goddess is at long last successful. I enjoyed the Reunion very much.

jay.leto.182 chapter 29 . 8/1/2013
Everyone could clearly see that Alexander was losing his life wish and they wondered how long it would take the great king to follow his soul mate down to the house of death.

El apego siempre conduce al dolor, y en un amor tan incondicional y de toda una ida...¡qué difícil acostumbrarse a vivir sin el ser amado!

WoW
With these two last chapters, sensations and feelings were like a roller coaster, tenderness, happiness, love, jealousy, sadness, pain ... I think it might end up describing, just everything was there.
Hope loved me more and more as I read, and imagine with Cleitus, I know it was a little strange, but radiated tenderness over whenever he was near the princess.
But the end of the 28th was heartbreaking, I think the death of Phai always is, really sad, and leave me wanting to know more.
AlexYopPhai chapter 27 . 7/23/2013
But that beautiful chapter! From the moment I heard that Hephaestion was pregnant, I was excited, it was a very nice chapter, flaring to Phai during pregnancy, I was very amused when stealing food, was very tender. And I could not be a more beautiful girl with golden hair of Alexander and beautiful eyes of Phai.
I look forward to hearing more of this beautiful story.

Dear Toobeauty,

Your Chareronea is both exciting and also a tragic event. It is of course a great Victory - but the losses are enormous. I feel so sorry for Hephaestion when his faithful wolf Sotiris dies when she saves his very life. Her funeral and final resting place is beautiful, she deserves it. The bonds between Alexander and Hephaestion become even stronger during and after this epic Battle. One can feel their friendship, but also the angst when their lives are in dire peril.

Dear Toobeauty,

This Bonding is very beautiful and deeply emotional. They truly deserve this solemn and sacred ceremony, also that the Companions share it with them.

Dear Toobeauty,

I like the idea of a very special Sword being forged for *our* Hephaestion. *Loyalty* is a most appropriate name for it, it describes both the Friend and Man in a most clear manner.
