One Nutty Author chapter 2 . 7/14/2017
That was heartwrenching and heartwarming at once. Especially after watching "Noximilien the Watchmaker". Nox was easily favourite character from Wakfu. His past pulls on my heart strings with how he spent the last 200 years trying to save his family from Ogrest's chaos.(Atleast they were avenged when Yugo and Groovy/Dally defeated at the end of the OVA's along with all the other people who died in the floods)

What makes it even sadder is how Nox constantly replayed happier times with his family in the Clock. Not only does it remind us how determined he really is to save the ones he loves, but it shows he's slowly losing himself by doing this for the last 200 years.

You wrote the characters greatly, especially Yugo. What I admire about him is that he may seem like your cliche "young character that doesn't take things seriously until the going gets tough" but what separates him from that is how he tries to mature. Instead of trying to take his mind off what happened by trying to be himself but can't bring himself to, he immediately tries to mature. Not only does he try to sympathise with Nox from firsthand experience, but his power of understanding even the coldest of people is what makes Yugo, well Yugo and shows he can change but still be himself(though in season 2 and the OVA's case he's starting to struggle with it.

I don't believe Eva was OOC since it's really her guilt speaking. For the entirety of season 1 she had to put up Groovy's immaturity, but still saw him as close friend due to his bravery and kindness for others. But she didn't really see this until the end of the first season, which was too late for them to properly work things out.

Overall this was a delightful and feels-inducing fanfic that does what you were aiming for. :)

Link Fangirl01 chapter 2 . 2/5/2015
I felt really awful for Nox when he finally vanished, cause I knew in the end he was just a desperate father, but this made me feel ten times worse. I really want to cry now.

This was very beautiful, and I love that you gave Yugo that cloth strip to keep as a memento. It's touching.

awesome JUST AWESOMEEE!
Suricatessen chapter 2 . 6/12/2013
This was very well written, and beautiful. The original characters have enough depth to allow that kind of reflection fics, and you use it very well to deliver a great heart-warming moment. Thanks.
Slavok chapter 2 . 1/3/2013
That was amazing. Normally I don't like reading one shots or drabbles, but this piece was remarkably perceptive. One of the things I like about Wakfu is the value of life in the series. The monster of the week almost never dies and often ends up better off in the end. Then in the finale, half the main characters and an entire kingdom die, if only temporarily. Yugo was the only one to sympathize with Nox in the end, but I never realized how much of that could have been from his own experience. Yugo was willing to travel the world for two seasons to find his people, whom he had never met, so in that light Nox's actions seem a lot more understandable. After seeing the end of the second season, sometimes I think that Yugo's ability to understand even his enemies is more impressive even than his courage.
Anyway, just by writing about Wakfu, your work is automatically worth reading, and if you ever feel like writing more about the World of Twelve, I'll look forward to reading it.
