What’s with all the hate towards this story ? This author took their time to share their creativity and people choose to be negative because they can only think one dimensionally, SAD really.

There are multiple outcomes (billions of possibilities) this author choose to explore and express theirs in this way. Life isn’t just black and white, with grey areas there are many colours in there and that’s what makes everyone’s creativity uniquely theirs and you get to see how others see this world or the ones they create.

I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this story as with the few others I have read from this author. Your writing is amazing, the way you explore the characters is absolutely fantastic.

Please don’t EVER stop exploring your own creativity because of the few people who can’t see the world from the views of others.

I stopped reading immediately when he said “If you don’t go out with me I’ll kill myself”. It is one thing to write that at all and another to write that as something I’m supposed to support or sympathize with. That is 100% textbook emotional abuse, and not a light degree. This reads exactly like a suspense thriller to me. This opening would literally fit perfectly with any episode of criminal minds I’ve ever seen. I see this story was written in 2012 and I genuinely hope you’ve learned better by now. I’ve had too many girls I care about trapped in relationships with boys threatening to kill themselves. It’s not cute. It’s not romantic. It’s a horrible abusive tactic. I don’t care if this is a lecture. I take this very seriously and everyone else should as well. Young kids are on this platform and read this. We don’t need any more abuse romanticized. I don’t want to keep making tea at 3 am for sobbing friends. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

How many times are we going to hear that Natsu's a loser? Sorry you've absolutely ruined the character and this fic is so tone deaf it hurts. I know you've addressed the issue with the authors notes, but it's really not enough to just be like 'yeah I did it, but I didn't know whoops sorry' and leave it up for years. You can't apologise without making changes and this really needs some. Above everything I'm really concerned about how popular this fic got and how many girls probably found this romantic when it's glorifying things like abuse, manipulation, stalking, bullying etc.

I think you missed a huge part with the self harm issue: threatening to kill yourself if someone doesn't go out with you (or usually, if they leave you) is a common abuse tactic. It happens frequently as a way for abusers to prevent their victims from leaving and making them feel guilty and like they have to help/change them. I really don't like how Natsu does this essentially for attention, a common misconception about mental health, yet you still write him as a victim, when Lucy is the one being blackmailed into a romantic relationship. That shit is not okay and I think you missed the point a bit and need to educate yourself. I get this story is old and you're probably a bit embarrassed by it at this point, so rather than leave it up I recommend you edit it to make is less creepy and romanticising or just take it down altogether. I am intrigued to see how this goes and if you've done any censoring already though, so hopefully your ignorance fades and it gets better. Just think about the messages you send in the first chapter in the future because this is all kinds of fucked up.

Hey, I guess I’m just one more review in the sea but here it goes,

This is one of my FAVORITE Nalu fanfics. I have read it two-maybe three times. It is a beautiful work of art with amazing story line, conflict, characterization, and dialogue. I feel so much sympathy for both Natsu and Lucy as well as respect for seeing it through till the very end even with some major obstacles along the way. I love how Natsu starts out with no friends and by the end he doesn’t have a HUGE group, but they’re the best friends a person could ever ask for. I know there is only 22 chapters, but they are some of the best chapters of my life. Chapters that make me laugh and squeal and cry all for this fanfic. It truly is amazing and I’ve read a few of your stories (the other most memorable Skater Boy) but I loved those too. Thank you very much for making a beautiful fic in all the masses. Never stop writing.
