I absolutely adore this story- I am so gripped with the voice you give Pony. I think it ended perfectly.

I really enjoyed this fic. I think it really captured how Ponyboy would have felt or maybe gone through after witnessing what he did. It was really sad ( I shed a few tears!), but I think the ending was absolutely perfect; Ponyboy realizes that it's ok that he's alive.

The ending was a little abrupt after all the build up and all of Pony's struggles mentally w/ reality and memory. But if you aren't feeling it anymore, you aren't feeling it. It's better, in my opinion, to write an ending rather than put the story on permanent hiatus, just dangling out there unfinished. And really I think that finding out that Soda/Darry are feeling some of the same things, thinking some of the same thoughts is really the best way to "wake" Pony up and even him out a bit. Maybe you should have implied he was still struggling but less so...maybe more of a "slowly but surely improving" sort of thing rather than tying it up neatly w/ Johnny's letter taking a lot of his guilt away and Soda's acknowledgement of feeling the same way but overall the ending was still more satisfying than not.

I am enjoying the foster care story and hope to see you finish that one as well!

Aw, I LOVED the Pony/Soda time I love how Soda was able to comfort Pony. I agree that the ending was a little abrupt, I would have liked a more slow build to Pony's epiphany, but at the same time you never want to force a story. Overall I really enjoyed this story. :)

Also... I didn't even realize you had another story going! I'll have to check that one out. :)

I'm glad you didn't take it down and decided to write a last chapter for it. You write really well, and I really like your stories. I think this ending is brilliant and can't wait for the update for your other story!

If you hadn't said anything I never would have known that this was a struggle for you to write. The ending was a little sudden, but very moving and fulfilling. This was just a great story all around! :)
