Oh dear Lord. Snape is in for hell...of his own making (well, it is his fault for being best friends with Valence in the first place). This is great.

Oh! You are just so brilliant! This was the BEST the ULTIMATE BEST game ever! So many good men have fallen by sports, and this was just perfect to describe the insanity and it was absolutely fantastic! And really Albus is going to drive Severus into drinking, knocking his head HARD and FAST against his stone wall, yell, scream and really start throwing things aka major temper tantrum or cry of frustration. :D

Oh you just HAVE to write a chapter where Valence was a ref for the game! You just HAVE to! What could he have possibily done to make ALL the staff blanch in horror by just mentioning of him being the ref? And Severus having siblings! Well, you just HAVE to make them appear as well. There are so many possibilities for such a wonderful story that I'm just squealing with glee!

Hermione is really becoming a center of attention for Severus and Valence, isn't she? Maybe she'll become a more major character? And I really do love the compassionate and commeradrie bickering between these two. And the title just suits perfectly! :D But I'm quite curious. Wouldn't Hermione's ummmm... mishap of Polyjuicing herself as a cat be known to Severus? Since he would have to brew a counter potion for that? Or was there a potion in the infirmary so Severus didn't have to be known. Well, I really like the twist in the opinion of Severus being irriated by Hermione not being sorted into Slytherin. That's really interesting and a point that really needs to be explored more. :D I like it!

Oh, Oh, Oh, I just love the similarities and difference between Severus and Valence. They want the same result, but using different methods. The confliction, I just adore confliction in a person, and that's why I just love these two characters. I wish the canon had Valence in it. And the reaction from the Weasley twins. :D And Snape isn't the most hated teacher! Puhahahahahaha! I'm amused and bemused at the same time. A former Head of the Snakes and the present Head of the Snakes. Well, Slytherins are really in for a lot of confusion. And Harry and Ron... well... they are not the center of this story, so I won't mention anything about them. And Hermione! Well, she is a moth to a light when it comes to intelligence! This really is becoming one of my very favorite stories! I'm just enjoying it so much!

Did I say I just love Valence? I did. Just a few minutes ago. But still I'll say it again. I LOOOOOOOOVE Valence. I mean he has absolute style! The snarkiness I just adore, the sarcasm that I absolutely drool for, the viciousness that totally delicious, and compassion for his friend, the understanding of what his friend is feeling(so much more than Albus, which is saying so much!) and brilliant mischieviousness(is this even a word) that I will be hounding for more! And I just wonder why the staff, with an exception of Hooch, are so reluctant with this acceptance, I'm just dying to know! :D Well, on to the next chapter! Oh, I'm loving every moment of this story!

Oh! Oh! Oh! Just wonderful brilliant start! I'm LOVING Valence already! I love Severus to bits, so that's not something that needs to be repeated, but I'll do it anyway. I ADORE Severus! And I love the chemistry between the two! And YES! Why shouldn't Severus have another best friend other than Lily. Absolutely NO ONE can be that lonely. Okay, that isn't impossible, or not ever occured, but still, Severus is a Potion Master, though seriously lacking in social skills, but still he goes around! He isn't always hidden in his dungeons brewing potions, or being summoned, cursed, hexed, tortured(from both of his 'masters,') and teaching. And during the breaks, I mean he has to do something and meet people once in a while. And really, I mean NO ONE had a backbone to stand by him during his school days? Except his fellow Slytherins? (Well, I'm not so sure which house Valence has been sorted to, or whether he was a student in Hogwarts, or him just being a teacher(a student teacher relationship can be developed into a friendship) but well, having no other friends is just so unreasonable! And you've just made my day very happy! Like I said before, and I'm going to say it again, I love your story already!

This was brilliant. Unfortunately my roommate now thinks I'm crazy because of all the laughing.

Bravo! You have captured Severus and the spirit of the books magnificently. The dialogue is witty and cutting, and perfectly in keeping with canon. If I might draw your attention to one small point though: the more traditional English (the version drawn so heavily upon for the Potter-verse) would never use the term 'pot roast', for us it's a casserole (in this instance a Beef Casserole). That practically microscopic nit-pick apart, I was thoroughly delighted and entertained by your tale and I do hope that you plan further delights in this series?
