What a precious story! How sweet was that? Missing each other and 3000 miles apart! Start with a lovely text. He misses her, not much other than that. Wanted her to know. And instantly she knows he is still awake and she wants to hear his voice. She can't sleep and he needs to help her. Nothing more important to him at this time than helping Kate rest. Read to her sweet poetry in low and sleepy tones I would think. Read her to sleep and continue to be certain. And then the relaxation from knowing that she is sleeping, resting from his words, lets him drift into sleep with her, but not.

Awwww... I could picture this so clearly. Love how accurately you portrayed them, thoughtful Castle loading the app on Beckett's phone, Beckett wired and frustrated with herself for needing Castle. And I love the poetry idea.

What a wonderful sweet love story you've written - it's so special when we're able to see real love and commitment between two people without the intensity of sex. We see Rick, always wearing his feelings on his sleeves, knowing exactly what Kate needs to hear and finally we see Kate knowing, probably for the first time in her life, how to accept with an open heart what he's offering. This little story says more about their relationship than chapter after chapter after chapter of others. You are so talented.

this was absolutely lovely. i like that castle was able to get over any embarrassment and just text beckett and that allowed her to express herself.

I love how finely tuned to each other these two are. And you have captured it so wonderfully in this piece. It really is one of the most beautiful pieces I've read recently.
His text message was so sappy, but there's no denying that they were both feeling it. I love how even though they are so far away geographically, their souls are side by side, always. If she's troubled or can't sleep, he can feel it.

This is so lovely. So relatable, not being able to sleep, the constant reel of thoughts but he just knows her and misses her and is there and then he recites poetry for her and oh this perfect man. I just love the idea of them like this, so close now that they finally found together, in all their quiet moments too.

I really really love how you write. I love how you construct your sentences and how it all comes together and the rhythm you give it. It leaves me wanting to write like that.

I love the softness in this. I love that she just needs and wants him and needs him to feel calm. I have people like that in my life and it's amazing that someone can do that, it's amazing that CASTLE can do that for her after these years. I love that she doesn't back away and that she wants him to call her on her crap even if that means admitting she misses her.

It's just such a beautiful story and oh when he reads to her just kill me now. I have no idea why NF doesn't narrate the Nikki Heat books on tape because yes please read me to sleep.
