Really great story

Sometime you need to remind each other why you fell in love in the first place , when you get a little lost . You shouldn't be afraid to ask for directions and help ;)

Lovely imagery and about time for Evie and Thorin.

By hobbit standards Evie is old. I think she will die within the next 10-15 years. I think that the oldest recorded hobbit was Old Took who was 110 when he died. Bilbo doesn't count because of the rings power.

You said in you're author's note that this is going to end in Erebor, so does that mean Evie's going to die somewhere in the middle of the story? Since the lifespan of dwarfs and hobbits are different. I don't remember if you ever mentioned that you were changing hobbit lifespan so that they live the same amount of times as dwarfs.

Does that mean that Thorin or Evie will die at the battle? I hope not, I hope they both live and have a child, maybe that will bring back that spark. I think the great thing about fanfiction is instead of the tragedy in Tolkiens story the writer can change things to how they would have liked to see it. I don't see it as a discredit to Tolkien but a different view to the story with hopefully a deserved happy ending

So does that mean that Evie goes along or dies so that Thorin and the company go on as int he book and movies? She will die before him in any case, and I have a sinking feeling that when she does, he will be consumed with regret for all the time he wasted with her. I certainly hope it doesn't go down such a depressing path ...
