Sno Italever chapter 1 . 2/5/2008
This poem was simply anazing! It captured Hojo and his peronality perfectly. You have amazing skill, my friend. This poem and Sink are the most spectacular things I've ever read. (They make my fan-fict look like preschool work, lol)

Forever my idol,

Sno Italever.
polarmint15 chapter 1 . 9/2/2007
Wow. It tells a story much as a novel.
Bahamut.girl chapter 1 . 7/21/2007
ok first off, let me start off by saying "WOW" great poem. You definately know your Hojo LOL. also id like to show you some of my favorite lines:

"One day, your friends will be all gone and dead

And your sanity will dangle by a thread

Then you will beg for a release

For the endless pain to cease"

This, to me, is beautiful. but sad and true. It seems that in the game/movie that Vincent tries very hard to distance himself from everybody. I think its because he knows that one day he will watch them die.

"Who could ever learn to love a beast?

Your appearance is ghastly, to say the least"

So true. The experiments that Hojo did on him left him...well...different. And i think its sad how Vincent must live with it. You portrayed Hojo's desire to leave Vincent's life inshambles very well. I applaud your keen eye for these things. This was a beautiful poem. Every line!
Bringer Of Fears chapter 1 . 1/8/2007
Wow! This has to be the best fanfic poem I have ever read. Truly wonderful!
persephonevii chapter 1 . 11/7/2006
"Obsessing over a forbidden snowy dove

You say her loss made you fall from grace

Well, my friend, you never had her in the first place

She was mine to begin with"

Creepily good, and so true. This poem makes me wonderif Hojo's dislike for Vincent went beyond simple jealousy? By your poem's standard, it sounds like he had a definite and deep wish to truly ruin the Turk's life. And it wasn't the mindless experimenting that we see in the games, but delibrate malicious actions.

"From the ambitious start to the triumphant finish"

And that's what makes Hojo such a horrifying and creepy villain, he wins... he really does... throughout the game he gets away with so many acts of evil and he suceeds in his plans, where not even his son as powerful as he was, could not.

I do think Hojo is an understated villain, if it wasn't for him and his actions many of the tragedies in FF7 would of never have occured at all.
invisiblesplotch chapter 1 . 7/21/2006
This is really twisted, in a good way, i mean. You have definitely managed to capture and convey the essence and character of Hojo in these lines. Nice job!
Casseh Valentine chapter 1 . 6/12/2006
This poem makes me hate Hojo even more. Poor Vinnie-kun, having to stand that torture...dang.
RandomBikiniGirl chapter 1 . 3/18/2006
Content-wise: This poem is chillingly wonderful. I have no problem admitting I am Hojo fangirl and as such am please with the contents of this poem. Because he is right, in the end. Vincent lost everything to Hojo. And because he was too love-struck to think rationally. Thus, my favorite passage being: "...You say her loss made you fall from grace/Well, my friend, you never had her in the first place/She was mine to begin with..."

Critique-wise: In some places the rhyme is forced or does not exist. I'm not telling you to change anything, but just know that in some cases it detracts from the peoms otherwise wonderful flow.

Overall, an excellent piece of fan-poetry

ParadigmSlider chapter 1 . 10/10/2003
"My claws are sunk into your cape" and "How is Chaos these days?" are great lines! This was completely brilliant and it goes on my fav stories. Oh, just a note: I read something VERY similar, with some of the same lines even by The Artistic Vampire. You might want to check it out.
