Not a pairing I'm used to, but a very touching story regardless. Everything just felt so... real, so vivid. Delving into why Usopp sticks to slingshots was fascinating, and all the relationship build-up that resulted from it was a delight to read. Great job!

I specially loved how you explained why they are attracted to each other... Thinks like: "There was panic in his wide eyes, but his jaw was de and determined"; "You are the exact opposite of my mother. And I love it.", "I like that you're not gentle"; "Usopp was, undoubtedly, a brave man"; and the explanation about how they have similar experiences and feelings, because they lost a mother, are aware of their weaknesses and the possibility of drying any day, the loneliness, the fear of commitment.
So: The storyline and the couple were very believable.

Also, the scene in which the sharpshooter kills that man with the rifle... It was amazing. Very in character, canon. Beautifully described. I mean, the scene in which he shot it, not the bloody mess afterwards.

The meaning you give to the phrase: " Usopp really was a great liar"... Perfect. I really love that interpretation of Ussop personality, of him saying obvious lies intentionally, so people won't notice when he is really lying. I think he represents the idea of: "being brave is not being fearless but confronting what you fear."

Finally, I must say I loved how you portrayed Sanji. I don't know why, but I love him, even I his attitude toward women should be infuriating... Usually, I dislike sexists. But I admire his determination, how he prefers dying before betraying his own principles.

At the end, it was a pleasure to read this little fic. It was beautifully written, sweet, romantic, with well developed relationships. Thanks. :)
