overall the story was good but i wished it was better a little bit, but good job!

i didn't like this chapter, why didn't Merlin broke down and hugged Arthur? It has been centuries for god sake. merlin reacts just like Arthur was with him the whole time

Poor Arthur...drawn, in a split second, from a world he knew, expectations he understood, wielding power and commanding respect, to a world where he's an unknown face with nothing to his name and an unclear destiny.

Well, Merlin's familiar with that path, his true friend, and with his experience, the best possible guide Arthur could ask for.
It'll be hard road though, I should think. Rather reminds me of Captain America's story, although on a much grander scale.
Once a king of a long-vanished nation, one that, by modern standards, was small and would lack importance on the modern stage, to...what?

Who are you now, Arthur? Who will you become?

Based on the chapter titles, I skipped chapters 15 - 30, as they were probably all like chapters 1 -14 and just the original story retold. Chapter 31, we seem to be finally getting into new territory, and the story is now really getting new and interesting.

Not sure what the point of having Merlin here is. I have been giving this story a fair chance and so far, we are at chapter 14 and all we have so far is JKR's story being retold, with Merlin as a casual observer. I already read the Harry Potter books, I read fanfiction for something new, and just throwing in a powerful character that refuses to do anything to change the story in anyway, does not make something new or interesting.

Not bad. A bit too much of the usual stuff, but a few interesting new things were thrown in.

Harry's DADA professors have tried to kill him, attempted to use him for their own gain, or have been in league with Voldemort. (No offense to Lupin, but he did try to kill Harry in his werewolf form).
