Love this little story! The only thing that could possibly make it better is seeing the other hobbits' reactions to "Mad Baggins" having a dwarf king over for dinner. :)

I have a question for you. I am writing a book (it's called 'The goblin and the grinder' and it's not related to the hobbit or lotr xD) and a part of what you wrote fits perfectly for two of my characters. My question is if I could use the idea for my book :) ?

That was very beautiful and sweet! I liked it very much. It reinforced the true loving nature of Hobbits.

That was lovely, and such a shame we won't get to see something so wonderful onscreen. It's the one part of the films I'm not looking forward to at all.

You really captured Bilbo and Thorin perfectly and their conversation was completely in character and beautifully touching, yet without being too sentimental. I'm glad Gandalf finally intervened :)

I really did enjoy this.

I quite enjoyed this, I loved the movie, I am rereading the book but keep getting distracted by rl so haven't finished again but I like this it make me all warm and fuzzy feeling.

Those two are such cute, either in romance or friendship. They just compliment each other. Great story!
