This review is not really about chapter, but more about the whole fanfic. Have to say that I really liked the idea of a fanfiction that, while changing bits of the plot, still was in line of ME1. First chapters made a good impression, though lacked a bit of colors. And by colors I mean that in a book you can delve much deeper into description, characters, thought. But still, first chapters were promising.

Unfortunately, nothing really materialized from these "promises". Characters were shallow and acted just weird at times. Shepard seemed like having a bipolar disorder. Not because he was so serious on a missions and relaxed on board of Normandy, no - that was actually a nice thing to see. But because his actions were just not logical and his behavior changed from disciplined soldier to psycho-killer to pile of agreeable goo in no time.

Overall logic of events is just inconsistent at times.

On the bright side - story is OKish and I think author has a lot of promise if he'll work on improvements in the areas described above. Grammar is also good, which is always a nice thing to see.

As far as now - I cannot recommend this fanfiction to anyone to read. Even if you're a fan of Mass Effect universe.
