Very, very nice interesting story. Enjoyed it very much.

Splendid stuff. Impeccable characterization and dialogue, with a perfect blending of angst and humor. I'm always amazed that the best fanfic writers honor these irresistible women so much more profoundly than the series' writers did. The show had every necessary ingredient - compelling characters and a crack cast - except for a writing team that never ventured beyond mediocrity.

My God, this is SO GOOD! Seriously, I cannot get over the fact how good this is. I'm reading fanfiction and it's so extremely well written- I'm amazed. You're amazing! It's a complex, extremely well thought-out storyline, perfect characterization, the jokes, the mystery - alright, I'll stop gushing now. You're probably not reading this anymore anyways. But in case you are- THANK YOU for this fantastic story.

It's been a while since I've read this and it was just as good and touching as it was the first time. So worth revisiting this story. I love protective Jane so much. Thank you for sharing this gem with us.

When I read "antagonizingly tiny bite" i squee, because you are a wonderful writer.
If you ever see me refer to a "linguistic make-out session" that's the kind of thing I'm thinking of, nothing smutty. I may not ever master this language, but I do love it and I do love people who use it for mischief.

If the brilliant best friend is the furry one, hug him and tell him that you keep impressing people with your writing. If not, hug them etc anyway. People need to know you have a fanbase.

Ah, I was wrong. I was thinking "airstrike", but I love how Jane simply accepts credit for the action instead of deflecting.
And Angela is dead wrong as usual. I don't think Maura could do better.

It's also interesting that Dean comes across as mostly human instead of as a self-serving annoybot. For me, that's a fresh take.

The priest's reaction - holy Mary etc - is priceless and I recognize it. There's a story in there, I promise, but we'll take it in PM some day.

The paragraph beginning "In that, Maura Isles was completely and utterly wrong" is one of those things that make me love your writing.
"Korsak was trying to retrieve his tie now from Rockford's grasp and steadily losing ground." I _really_ love your way with words! And I love the idea of a cat flossing. :-)
I'm enjoying this story, but I'm more than a little bit anxious about what Maura has been through.

"Disbelief, hatred, shock, blackmail, surrender". I love your mind. :-)
And I like how Jane orders Maura off to brush her teeth. Almost like she's planning some heavy-duty cuddling for the night. OK, maybe I read stuff into it...

Jesus, you had me worried there. I figured you would have warned me if there was a rape in-story against one of the major characters, but damn... I've been fretting for eight chapters.

As I always say: never apologiese for cliffies. Cliffhangers are one thing, the rape factor was a different kind of stress altogether.
