Guest chapter 40 . 1/15
I love this story! a force sensitive clone is an amazing concept I would have never thought of. I did get a funny idea while reading the chapter where Waxer was obsessed with the caterpillar. you should do a chapter where the clones, it doesn't matter who (though Waxer and riot seem like they would enjoy it the most), learn of the animals and plants native to earth.
Guest chapter 40 . 3/14/2018
Hope this gets picked up, well written in general. The Republic point of view is quite good, like the Clone Troopers a lot, though the Earth part is oddly the much weaker perspective from a story telling point. I can believe the Clone Army troopers are real. Oddly the Earth side is less convincing and seems more contrived.

A few technical points:

Sergeants and NCOs in the US military are not usually called "sir", sir is usually only used for officers, and would generally be thought a rookie/civie mistake.

The rank of Commander is a naval rank, yet it is given to both an Army and Marine officer in the story, perhaps you intended Colonel? Or the title (not rank) of Commanding General?

The US infantry weapon described is a terribly bad idea, the combination of features described is simply nonsense and could only work via literal magic without being grossly oversized and overweight. Modular weapons systems are a thing. Weapons that magically transform between different calibers, different barrel lengths, and can be grenade launchers and lasers all in one is absurd in an Earth 2035 setting. Have you ever fired a real gun? Field stripped an M16 or M4? Seen what prototype next generation modular weapons look like?

The situation of a UN vs China war is impossible since China enjoys a veto at the UN. Also, China has nuclear weapons, not likely to hold those back while being invaded.

The President and VP are too stupid to live, both being in the same room during an alien attack... painfully dumb and violates all Continuity of Government plans.

The secrecy order stuff is bizarre, keeping a secret known to 7 billion people and easily found via Google is impossible. To kill over it is gravely immoral and painfully stupid. Such an order is unlawful.

The view of Earth people towards clones seems... unlikely. Clone armies would be considered a form of slavery, cloning for such a purpose as a crime against humanity. Both the CIS and Republic would be guilty of grave and deliberate war crimes during the Clone Wars by current Earth international law.

The US military is also apparently holding the same idiot ball as the GAR, using infantry without proper support. Indirect fire is critical to both offense and defense in modern war. Infantry mortars of the 60mm (company), 81mm (battalion), 120mm (regiment) variety should be plentiful, along with artillery such as 105mm and 155mvm howitzers and rocket/missiles systems like MLRS and HIMARS. Indirect fire is the primary killer on a modern battlefield, doubly so if the enemy is resistant to rifle fire. The Navy destroyer should have been providing ongoing fire support as well. (The lack of combined arms doctrine in Star Wars has a certain logic from the tech and politics, but it is how Earth's militaries have trained and fought since at least the first World War. Any late WW II major army had a better combined arms doctrine and tactics than the GAR, though the GAR has better tech.)

Also, modern smoke screens don't only block visual light, but thermal imaging as well, pretty much need radar or other active sensors to bypass those, so smoke should be at least marginally useful against B1s, though I would guess the better droids have better scanners.

Comms jamming is highly inconsistent in how it is portrayed, you have comms jammed and yet troopers talking via comms, sensors and comms jammed and yet recon drones being deployed and sending back data via comms from sensors, that doesn't quite add up, though it could be accurate due to certain technical aspects of jamming vs the various types of possible comms tech.

Finally, the squad level perspective is great for story telling, but there are larger military formations above this level, the assualt on the White House being a bunch of individual squads is an example of mishandling that, but seem entirely typical of the amateur hour stuff the early Clone Wars had going on.

I really do enjoy the story, read all 40 chapters, just a few minor nit picks.

Mandalore the Survivor chapter 40 . 5/4/2017
A very interesting story here, in case I talk weird it's because am little drunk.

The idea of Earth being where it is a unique change to Star Wars stories given not many place it near Kamino, that will probably open lots of Clone Troopers coming to Earth in sore leaves. But anyway characters are very unique, love you captured the Clones and how they interact with US soldiers, but the thought of knowledge of Star Wars getting out.. That's gonna very very dangerous, like right now it's starting look like either Legends or Canon, but either way very dangerous if Sidious got his hands on this knowledge.

He is without a doubt the most Sith Lord in history, the only other person who rivals or even better then Valkorian himself, that is a very very frightening thought of him gaining knowledge. Now how the Jedi will use this well... It's a good it's Obi Wan here, Obi Wan is a great man who truly did cared for lives of his Clone Troopers, I highly doubt he would want kill all Clones even if knowing Order 66 and I can see lot of Jedi sharing his thoughts as well.

Like Aalya Secura who consider Clones some of the most bravest warriors she's ever seen, hence why many Clones were ashamed of themselves doing Order 66 on her or even none could look in her the eye. Anyway I do consider a lot could happen.

Now I like know what my nation, Canada, is gonna do here? There's closet and biggest ally America has so it's safe say my home nation will be the one quickest to move on assist, but that's just my opinion. Anyway good to see you're back into this, if you want I have few suggestions and one OC character if you ever want to use if you wish? Up to you.

Good luck, till time.

Glad to hear you're planning on coming back. And interesting that Earth is so near Kamino. I'm not great with Star Wars dates but it seems like someone should have discovered Earth by then. But now I'm putting too much thought into it. Again, great you're back and don't beat yourself up too much. Life happens after all.

I have a feeling that the reason sly has not updated is because we haven't gotten the correct answer. I'm so frustrated.

TheMarine2013 chapter 39 . 11/4/2015
Hey sly I like your story it is good amazingly good. I think that since how the churba system is where the clones came from originally I would say that earth is located at the end of the corellian run. Since it was the main hyperspace route. Not only that Christophis is on the way from the churba system. So I would say either in S-18 Pelgrin Sector. T-17 Bitrose Sector. Or Q-18 Lol Sector. It could be near Naos in in the Bitrose Sector or Gaulus in S-17.
Panda chapter 39 . 11/1/2015
Just wanted to update my review

Earth Can't be in the core galaxy because the starwars galaxy is at least 400 billion light years wide! And also if you look at the entire star wars galaxy map, there are no intertwining spiral galaxies, at least none that look like the milky way. Also, the earth is relatively close to the core of our galaxy so your hints don't make too much sense. Also consider this; we have the Hubble telescope right, its powerful. We've been able to see other galaxies even. If we were in the outer rim, the Hubble would have at least saw some space debris, outer rim planets with life on them, and even space pirates because they like to set up camp in hidden regions. But we didn't. We are in a different galaxy, 'nuff said.
