God...that was the most beautiful fic I've read in a long time. So much sadness for River. I know they couldn't have had Alex throughout Season 7, but the way you bring up how she's never mentioned...gods, you had me reaching for tissues so often. This is a definite Favorite. Thank you.

Really touching story, and quite like River's reaction to Clara (although there will be a meeting between the two of them in the tv show this year yet to come as of this writing, which will no doubt be different), I like how you touch all the bases of the last few eps and tie it all together, interesting to learn River met Madge.
