YASSSS! I really love the length of this one-shot, it was nice and long. Enough time for us to get to know the characters (although us fans would already know them), but still. And well, it's just awesome when Kogami takes an interest in Akane. I dunno if it's because he's older or what, but it's just great. I really enjoyed reading this!

I like your touch with the quotes, its elegant and fits well with the series.

Ahhh I loved the flow of this. I really enjoyed the characterization; I think I lost touch with Kogami's character at some point, particularly after he and Akane started falling apart in the anime, so reading this really refreshed and built him back up for me. I also really enjoyed the inclusion of the other members of the Division and Sasayama (Kagariii ;w;) and how they all affect either Kogami or Akane. Ginoza and his harshness kind of making things worse, bless his heart. I loved the way that the Kogami/Akane relationship was explored through a mentor-student kind of thing turning into something more; I find it a little hard to imagine Kogami actually flirting or something, so the way you wrote their development seemed very realistic and plausible. And basically ahhh I loved this a lot; I'm terrible at leaving reviews, haha.

I love it, I really do. It was just too emotional for me to take right now. I need some darn happy/sexy Kougane to make it through, but everybody seems to still be on the hit-by-a-truck catatonic full-of-feels wagon for this beloved couple, and I don't blame them one bit. They have grown so much, both of them, and the sucky thing is that to stay true to their growth, they can't be together. She's a detective, he's a criminal, no matter how deserved it was (Yes, I'm quite pleased that Makishima got his head blown off). They're too principled for that, and it breaks my heart. I need someone with great creative talents to show me an in-character scenario where they can be together, seriously.

Back to your fic, I love the premise. What a great way for them to interact and learn from each other! Oh Akane, you and I both know why you were hoping he wouldn't notice you when he was training. The man is distractingly pretty. What I wouldn't give to run my hands all over his... *Dominatored by Akane* Urrghh... I was... kidding... (not really).

I think that everyone else reacted very well within character, including Sasayama (have you read the translation for the radio drama with him in it where he takes Shinya and Gino drinking? Hilarious!). Everything hits the perfect note, from the quotes to the cases to the reactions and the actions.

Yayoi is missing, but to be honest, she was barely a blip in the anime. She really didn't do anything much, so I didn't miss her presence until now when I'm listing out everyone. Obviously Shion had nothing to do with anything here, either, although I can see her really noticing the Kougane interaction and tease them about it.

Anyway, hope to see more from you! Thank you for writing this! I always appreciate a good Kougane fic!
