It's a fascinating story & now that you've decided to update again I'd love to see Merlin hatch Aithusa again in the alternate universe, and to see who survives the war with Morgana, and to... there are so many more things to explore. usually i ascribe this sort of fear to merlin who's gotten arthur back - the fear that it'll happen again. you'll lose the same person you already lost once - so it's nice to see arthur with these thoughts!

it's an interesting dynamic to explore. arthur who's known that merlin had magic for years, and merlin who's been able to do magic openly for years...
(just fyi, i'm pretty sure 'emrys' is the accepted spelling - not super-important, just a teensy bit jarring to read a different spelling...)

i know you've marked this complete, but there's a lot of potential with continuing this story - and i bet quite a few readers wish you would... maybe someday?...

oh, and balinor is alive in arthur's world!...

though i can't help wondering - no one has said, or asked - whether merlin expects to come back to this world once he's helped arthur in the other one, or whether this is a final goodbye to merlin... or whether the two worlds can be expected to merge... hm.

this is a pretty significant cliffie to leave the story on, before going on to your sequel!

i'm not sure whether to be glad or sad at this meeting. glad that they each have a second chance with someone they lost - but sad b/c they're not /really/ the person the other lost. if that makes sense. this is /an/ arthur, but not /merlin's/ arthur - and vice versa. this arthur can't and probably shouldn't take the throne (omg, gwen!), but he'll probably want merlin with him - but merlin shouldn't leave /his/ arthur's family...
but i suppose, merlin did always sacrifice his own feelings and desires, to do what he thought was right, to bring light to anyone's darkness...

I just found this story and I'm so glad you decided to continue. It's really great & a Merlin storyline I haven't come across before - alternate universes. Please finish Chaos of Destiny, it has such great potential!

Good story! I liked how you presented court sorcerer Merlin - wise and powerful - I always wished we could see his inner nobility more! The whole picture of a prosperous Camelot is really well done and Elizabeth was really cute, especially during that parting scene. I hope you're still planning to carry on with this as that's quite a cliffhanger;)

This is simply wonderful! The writing is incredibly skillful and the tone suits the idea perfectly. And the idea! I love it! You've made Arthur coming back to life both magical and yet almost realistic! And I'm excited by the thought of Merlin and Arthur going off on a quest together. (Unless Arthur is going to stay and become King?) I can't wait for more!
