I know this fic is years old now, but I just came across it and wanted to say how good it is. You understand Henrik's character very well indeed - this is pretty much exactly how I read his actions in the episode. (And it manages to still hold up and be completely canon-compliant seven years later! Not many fic writers get that lucky with their writing, so congrats to you, haha.)

The line in the beginning about Henrik's waistcoat being 'another piece of armour'... that captured him perfectly. I've always thought he made such a big deal of being the icy CEO in the fancy suits to protect himself, to feel like he has some degree of control in his life. Glad I'm not the only one who sees it.

I also loved the bit about Henrik not wanting to admit to himself that he loves Sahira, because if he used the word it would all be too real and he'd have to accept his role in things falling apart - that was just pure brilliance.

And the last lines are so hard-hitting. Very memorable and impactful.

All around, this is a really great fic, and I'm glad I found it. :D
