I've always felt a bit sorry for Obara's mother, but it it is obvious that she would not be able to give Obara the same life as Oberyn could.

I like it a lot. Only Oberyn changing her name... Somehow it just doesnt seem right. Since she claimed him being her father, she could name her Obara. I can even picture her not naming the child at all. It seems like more Tywins style if you understand what Im trying to say. But other than that, complete GRRM.

So he kidnapped her? He snatched her from her mother, what kind of crap is that and how is she not crying for her mother? Don't like that factor. If your telling me the mother treated her horribly and he took her than ok but she didn't sound like a horrible person.

Interesting ficlet with a great title :) I did notice some punctuation errors around your dialogue where you've used a full stop/period where you needed a comma instead, but these aren't major. Liked this :)
