I am just starting reading your story. I like the fusion between Harry/LOTR since I like both of them. I think the first chapter is kinda cute. Just imagine what real Thranduil would do if he really had to raise his sister. Um...

Amazing story so far.
I have a feeling that Piper will be choosing to live as a mortal, especially after the battle of Hogwarts, if you plan on writing that. Based on the story so far, it seems she is more geared toward that choice not only because of her brother's experiences with war, but also due to her bonds with her friends. Also, based on Elrond's prophecy, Piper will most likely have to fight in the battle of Hogwarts, since she will experience death before changing Mirkwood.

If she chooses immortality however, then it would be easier for her to be an ambassador between the two worlds because she would look more elvish than human. This also begs another question : what would happen to her magic if she were to choose immortality?

I'm also curious about house elves in this story. Are they, in any way, related to the lotr elves? I would love to read about Hermione's reaction to Mirkwood. Are there any pairings in this story?

By the way, good job on the OC. I normally hate them as anything other than background characters because authors tend to turn them into Mary sues or Gary stus but in this story, so far, so good.

I was excited when I first started reading your story but the more I read the more disappointed I became. Piper comes across as a huge brat & it is a big turn off for your whole story.

Thranduil should have refused to send Hermione. *lol* he and his daughter don't even LIVE in England or any other human run magical society, so why the heck should he care about some 'law' made in another land that says that his kid is required to come to a magic school? They don't live in England (do they?) or any other country that follows that particular law, so why should he follow it just because Dumbledore came and said so and because Hermione's mom wanted her to go?
