Aw Noley! I'm interested on where this story is going. I really have no idea! Lol (:

Aw, I was so happy to see a new post from you! Your OC's are some of my all-time favorites :)

I like how you handled Noley being jealous of Isobel. She's not the baby anymore, and she's not handling it well. Very realistic.

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Nothing boring about it, I like these kinds of scenarios. A look at the inner workings of the unique and sometimes crazy Kent family. Crazy as in well, things like this happen on an almost everyday routine for them. But I’m sidetracking here. Let’s talk about the chapter.

Noley’s jealousy was totally expected, if I hadn’t said it before, though I did see it coming from the moment she launched herself into Lizzy’s arms upon sighting Isobel being carried by her sister. I like how well detailed you made it despite this story being written in third-person. The psychological aspect of Noley to Isobel’s presence literally came to a head, and it was pushed over the edge by the fact that Casey is the least friendly of all the Kent children. So it’ll no doubt bug Noley no end, and you took that whole scene where Noley took advantage of Isobel’s near blind obedience right out of a text book, didn’t you? ;)

I mean that is just so very true of most young kids who are discovering things, they wouldn’t necessarily understand that it’s improper to take advantage of people sometimes.

I honestly can’t say much more other than to add to The Fallen Sky’s astute observations and your impeccable knowledge. So I compensate by utilizing big words just so I can sound a little smarter and feel a little less discombobulated. :P

I jest of course. My personal say is quite simply that: I absolutely love it!

Of course I enjoy any chapter that has Lizzy in it, so I paid a lot more attention to the parts when the many many sisters were having an argument about who gets to sleep in the cellar, which is honestly a little strange a concept, and I think TFS made a logical and genuine question that should get looked into: Why isn’t Clark just adding to the house to help keep everyone under one roof rather than all over the farm? Considering that he and virtually all his children, even Isobel now has superspeed, I’d say they can experience the fastest personal renovation in history, heck, Chloe probably wouldn’t even notice them getting it done after her first blink. And if they want to keep it normal looking, they can still get it done very quickly. Everybody knows farmers can build things like a boss.

Anyhow, I digress. I’m very intrigued, amused, and genuinely pleased with Casey’s overall behavior with Isobel. She’s really taken to the child, and this story is showing her in a much different light, though I pray she doesn’t end up with a really broken heart or anything like that. Like what they did to both Clark and Lana in that episode with the rapid-aging boy. Poor Chloe, she’s getting so messed up with Casey’s complete change of behavior. I laughed at the part where Casey obediently acquiesced to her mother’s choice, and then Chloe yelled “Because I said so!”, not realizing that Casey already agreed. Heh, and Lizzy wanted the cellar too? Funnnn. But I get the whole Lizzy/Noley tag team, and now there’s Casey/Isobel. Wonder how Jonathan, Andrew and Sammy going to take all this over time. I mean I have seen their points of view, sort of, but like, as the days progress, it’s going to be interesting to see how their feelings about the four girls evolve based on Isobel’s presence.

Wonder what Lizzy will do to try and lighten up Isobel? Besides letting the girl touch her red hair, which apparently fascinates Isobel no end.

And I’m STILL wondering about Charlie Loveleigh and the whole mystery behind his death. That, and Morgan as well. I mean how did she finally possess Lana’s body? And I wonder if all those unanswered mysteries aren’t going to end up being somehow tied to Isobel...after all, no one’s come to claim her yet. Since Lex Luthor hasn’t killed Tess, that means she’s still alive and well here, and that would mean...oh crap! Where’s Doomsday?! Unlike “You Make Daddy Sick” (which I hope you plan to continue), Clark wasn’t mentioned eliminating that massive threat here. Yeah sure, he’s a physical threat, but still! Someone needs to take care of that mess. Hey, maybe Isobel can help. :P

It is intriguing to see a child that’s so...emotionally detached, Isobel certainly isn’t normal, aside from her own obvious powers, but she has some measure of self-grooming knowledge, yet, she wasn’t raised with the intent that she become intergrated into society, so it seems that she’s more of an atomic bomb rather than an infiltrator/assassin, which begs the question if someone is looking for their misplaced atomic bomb, unless she was intentionally left there for the Kents to find. And another thing, did anyone ask Isobel about her other clone sisters?

Oh and for the last part of the chapter, Noley completely embraced her inner Ramona, didn’t she? I don’t blame her, and I understand why she did all that. I even saw the logic of her behavior after, and why she didn’t apologize like all her siblings asked her too. She was too shocked, and felt utterly betrayed. It’s going to be a tough time for her. But I hope she doesn’t end up getting to say “I told you so” to her siblings for some reason or another. Anyhow, I get the impression her animosity with Isobel is only just beginning. Maybe she might even transfer her present feelings about Casey on to Isobel instead, especially if Casey carries on playing nice for Isobel’s sake and to set an example for the little girl. I think Lizzy is probably the one who’ll be going after Noley, even if she is disappointed in Noley, I don’t know, I just think surely she’d be the most understanding. I say this because I’m recalling how Lizzy picked Noley over Isobel to carry when Lizzy realizes how carrying Isobel must make Noley feel: like she’s being replaced, and Lizzy wanted to assure Noley that that is not the case.

Anyhow, GREAT CHAPTER as always, and looking forward to the next update. It is certainly not boring in the least.
The Fallen Sky chapter 5 . 9/9/2013
First, I didn't think this was boring at all, and I'm not just saying that to be nice. I really enjoyed getting an intimate look at the inner workings of the Kent family, at least the complex relationships between the Kent kids. I especially enjoyed seeing things from Noley's POV.

Gotta say, I definitely felt for Noley in this chapter. Being the youngest, at least until Isobel, she's used to receiving most of the attention, and she's also used to feeling special because of it. So, it's not surprising that she's feeling very conflicted now that Isobel is the new kid and is getting all the attention from her parents and from her siblings. I dare say that Noley might even be feeling a bit jealous of Isobel, which is understandable. It doesn't help that Casey likes Isobel and doesn't really like Noley. I mean, how messed up is that? Casey doesn't like her own, flesh and blood, sister, and yet she's acting like a surrogate mother to Isobel? I think it would help Noley accept the situation better if Casey at least made an effort to be nicer to Noley, but that's just me.

Staying on the Noley front, I thought she behaved exactly as she should for a girl her age. Even her temper tantrum and stomping up the stairs was in character. I mean, who hasn't done that as a kid? Still, I love that Clark went to her and tried to calm and comfort her. At least someone is trying to understand how hard this is for Noley. And I really love how Noley didn't want to disappoint her dad but also really appreciated his kind words and caring gesture of holding her. Obviously, she's a good kid who wants to do right by her parents and family, but even the best of us have bad days.

Speaking of Noley being a good person, I loved how she tested out her theory that Isobel was basically a willing slave to whomever was willing to command her. The hand raising bit was hilarious, especially when Chloe came over and Isobel was still holding her hands up. Still, at least Noley felt bad for taking advantage of Isobel like that.

The sleeping arrangements was high drama indeed. ;) I wasn't the least bit surprised that Casey wanted to stay in the house with Isobel, even after Chloe told her she could have her favorite spot, the cellar. I still don't know why Casey is so attached to Isobel, but it's nice to see that she's capable of caring about someone other than herself and showing that caring. I also wasn't surprised that Lizzy refused to take the cellar after Casey declined. She was absolutely right. Casey and Isobel would've made things miserable for Noley had the three of them shared the bedroom without Lizzy present. It's good to know that at least one person has Noley's back and is concerned about her well being at the moment. And can I just say how weird it was to read about all these kids sleeping outside? I mean, I know they're not exactly human, so the weather doesn't affect them like most people, but it's still weird to think of Chlark's kids sleeping outside instead of in the house. It begs the question, why haven't Chlark added onto the house, and I'm talking like another story so there's enough bedrooms for everyone, and maybe another bathroom? I get that they don't exactly have the money to do it legitimately, but with Clark's powers, he could've done it in less than a day, probably within minutes, and if they were worried about raising suspicions, they could've had Oliver and Lois 'loan' them the money. After all, everyone has to know that Lois and Chloe are related, so sharing the wealth wouldn't have raised any eyebrows. Sorry for getting off on that tangent, but I was really wondering why Chlark didn't make their house bigger for their ever growing family.

Anyway, one final thing about Noley. I really felt bad for her at the end of this chapter. First, she wanted to play tag with her brothers and sisters, and Sammy, too, which I thought was nice. Of course, it felt very retro that they'd play tag, but it's kinda perfect given that this is the Kents we're talking about. Anyway, I could tell having Casey and Isobel playing with them would be trouble. I mean, Noley clearly wanted to recapture the 'good old days' before Isobel showed up, and then Casey had to go and ruin it for her. Still, things started out pretty well, but they quickly went down hill. I wasn't surprised at all that Noley targeted Isobel to be tagged. With the brewing bad blood between them, though all from Noley's side, it was bound to happen. I felt really bad for Noley after she tagged Isobel too hard and ended up hurting her. I get that Noley was frustrated and was overly excited about getting a shot at Isobel, but I don't believe for a second that she intentionally tried to hurt her. You could see it in Noley's reaction afterward that she didn't mean to hurt her. And I totally get why Noley didn't apologize right away. She was in shock over what happened, which is understandable. I mean, how often to any of them get hurt? Never. Still, the way you wrote Noley's siblings staring at her with disbelief, disappointment and, in Casey's case, anger, I could feel Noley's pain. She already felt like people were turning their backs on her in favor of Isobel, and then it seemed like her siblings had accused her of being a jealous, vindictive and heartless brute. It's no wonder why Noley started to cry and promptly ran away. Heck, I felt like crying, too. Hey, don't judge me. I just have to wonder how this will play out. Who will go look for Noley? Personally, I hope Clark does it. Noley could really use a friendly face right now, and I know Clark would be understanding but also try to impart to Noley that she has to be the bigger person and try to put her feelings aside in order to make things work. It might also be nice if Clark took Chloe along for the ride. I think a nice mother/daughter talk would be good, especially if Chloe really listens to Noley's feelings and concerns.

Now, let's talk about Isobel and how everyone keeps trying to get her to behave more like a person and less like a robot. I found it quite amusing how people kept explaining things to her, like how she couldn't refer to Superman as her Papa and that she had to lie about certain things and not tell people about or show people her powers. I can understand why they weren't sure if she understood what they were telling her, because she always responded the same way, by saying nothing and just looking at them. She's really gonna have to learn to act more normal if she ever wants to leave the house and go out in public, to say nothing about going to school, where she'll be completely on her own. I particularly enjoyed Casey's coaching efforts, trying to teach Isobel when it's okay to say no or to not do something someone tells her to do. I thought Casey did a good job, up until she told Isobel that she could disobey Mom and Dad if they were completely wrong about something. Who does Casey think she is? I mean, how is a kid gonna tell her parents, one of whom is Superman, that she doesn't have to listen to them because they're wrong and she's right? Seems to me, Casey's gonna have to learn the hard way that she's never right when her parents are involved, unless they admit that she's right and they're wrong. And I love how you addressed the issue of Isobel and nudity. Sammy was a riot, by the way. I'd freak out, too, if I had to use the bathroom and a naked little girl opened the door. I thought Jonathan did a great job of explaining to her that there's a time and place for everything, and some things just aren't appropriate, like walking around naked. I sincerely hope she's learned that lesson, because it'll be extremely awkward if she's still walking around naked in a few years when she's less of a little girl and more of a young woman.

I'll admit, I haven't been very sympathetic toward Isobel so far, but that's because I fear that she's gonna turn out evil. However, I did feel bad for her after she took her bath and went into her new room, where Lizzy was brushing Noley's hair. I thought it was very nice of Lizzy to offer to brush Isobel's hair, and I had a feeling that Isobel would've liked that. But, Casey's already got it in her head that she shouldn't be a burden, that she should try to do things on her own. That's good advice for when Isobel is older, but she's supposed to be part of the family, and there's nothing wrong with accepting a kindness from a member of your family. I really hope Isobel learns that, but I have my doubts, because Casey is the one teaching her, and Casey isn't exactly a people person, which is weird, when you consider that Chlark are both very much people persons.

As I said, this was a really interesting chapter, and I very much enjoyed it. Of course, I wish things had gone better for Noley, but family drama is a fact of life. I can only hope that things get better all around, but that may take a while, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Isobel and whether or not she's gonna end up being an evil witch, or just a Lana clone with superspeed and witch-y powers.

Sorry for the delay in reviewing, and I'm also sorry that there seems to be a lack of support for this story, based on reviews, anyway. I really thought that your supporters would stick with you, even after your long hiatus. I can only hope that my rambling reviews are able to ease the sting as they, hopefully, entertain you.

Looking forward to the next chapter! Excellent work, my friend!
The Fallen Sky chapter 4 . 8/12/2013
A new chapter already?! That's great! By the way, you should really have more faith in your ability as a writer, especially after all this time. I mean, sure, we may not be the brightest bulbs, but we don't need to be with you leading us around with your superb wordsmithery. ;-)

Gotta say, I love the extended scene with Maddie! First, I'm glad she got checked out by a doctor, and kudos for using Emil in that role. I'm also glad that everything's fine, both with Maddie and the baby. Can't say I'm surprised that Clark hung around, even after the all clear was given and everyone else went home. For one, Maddie is like one of his kids, so he's not just gonna abandon her, even if he doesn't need to stay. Also, it wasn't hard to see that he didn't want to go home, because of Isobel. I also wasn't surprised that Maddie figured out why Clark wasn't leaving. She's very perceptive, always has been. Then again, pretty much everyone is perceptive compared to Clark. ;-) It did feel a little strange to see Maddie having an adult conversation with Clark, like they were equals. I guess that's probably because I still see her as that little girl who wouldn't talk and just drew pictures all the time. Hmm, that's probably how Clark sees her, too, most of the time anyway.

Anyway, I really enjoyed and appreciated the little flashback to after Maddie moved in with her grandmother. We didn't get to see what happened between Maddie and Clark on the show, so it was nice to see that they stayed in touch. I especially liked how Maddie, whether consciously or unconsciously, stopped communicating with Clark, kinda like a test to see if he really cared about her or if he was just being polite because she kept emailing him, and how he showed up at her house to see if something was wrong and why she'd stopped emailing him. That's definitely something Clark would do, and I absolutely loved Maddie's reaction to his sincere concern and obvious caring for her. I bet that was the moment Maddie knew Clark would always be a part of her life, would always be there for her, and that's just beautiful.

I did have one tiny issue with that sequence, though. You mentioned Mr. & Mrs. Kent. By the time Clark met Maddie, Jonathan had died, so she never met or knew Clark's father. It's not a big deal, but I thought I should mention it.

The entire Maddie/Clark interaction was very heartfelt, especially the end where she told him she wished he had been her father, and he silently agreed, and also when they said 'I love you' to each other before Clark left. Like I said, it's like Maddie is one of his kids, and I love it! By the way, I'm not surprised that Maddie tried to convince Clark that Isobel was a good kid who deserved and needed a father, a family, to help guide her and set a good example. Maddie would know all about that, and it felt very natural for her to say it. Also, I love how she told Clark that he was making her husband look bad for not being there. Geez, is Greg even gonna show up in this story? Not that I mind or even care, but you'd think he'd be by his wife's side after an incident like she just had involving the baby.

Can I just say how awesome it was to see Martha make an appearance? Man, it feels like forever since she's been around, which is surprising, because you'd think she'd want to spend as much time with her grandchildren as possible. Anyway, I found it kinda funny how Clark had to call his mother and basically ask her to be his backup, his security blanket if you will, before he could go home to his own house and face a little girl. Sounds kinda pathetic, but it also feels like something he'd do, especially when you consider that he really needs help deciding what to do about Isobel, and his mother knows all about taking in strange children with incredible powers. By the way, she handled the news about Chloe wanting to adopt a child, upping the total number of Kent kids to six. Although, after all the kids Chlark have had the natural way, Martha probably has come to expect the news. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Martha expects Chlark to have another kid the natural way, especially if she knows that birth control doesn't work against Clark's 'little soldiers'. I mean, she knows that Chlark can't keep their hands off each other, hence the five kids they've already got.

Anyway, I found the image of Clark standing(hiding) behind Martha when they got to the house very amusing. I mean, the guy's Superman, for crying out loud, and he was all but hiding behind his mother, because he was afraid of a little girl in a dress! Of course, I thought Martha handled meeting Isobel with class, not that I'm surprised. After all, she's a classy lady. Still, she definitely wasn't scared, and she took to Isobel just like she was one of Clark's flesh and blood kids. Also, her reaction to seeing Isobel and remembering Lana at that age was very well done. Kudos for getting Casey's perspective on the whole meet and greet, too. Not surprising that Casey was hovering over Isobel, and I could definitely tell she was nervous and wanted Isobel to make a good impression.

The meeting between Clark and Isobel was brilliantly done. I love how they just kinda stared at each other, kinda like they were sizing each other up. I also love that Isobel seemed to recognize Clark. It made me wonder if Lana's memories were kicking in when she looked at Clark or if Isobel the witch's memories were kicking in. I would hope it was Lana's, but since Isobel has chosen the witch's name and has at least some of her powers, I'm afraid it was Isobel the witch's memories that kicked in. Either way, it was a tense moment, and I was kinda expecting something bad to happen, like Isobel using her magic to do something to Clark or her making some remark about how she doesn't like him because she remembers how he fought against her, stopped her from getting the stones of power and destroyed her book of magic. All in all, it was pretty creepy picturing little Isobel holding her hand out to Clark and calling him Papa. I hate to say it, but I'm already biased against Isobel, just like Clark. I mean, I know nurture can overcome nature sometimes, but Isobel has already shown that she's more Isobel the witch than Lana, and I worry that she'll go full-on evil at some point.

I know some people think Clark's paranoia about Isobel is over the top, but I don't. I think he's just the right amount of paranoid and suspicious. I mean, Isobel, when she possessed Lana, took away his powers and hurt him, physically, and there was nothing he could do to stop her or even fight her effectively. He was truly helpless, and that would terrify anyone, especially someone with the kind of power that Clark possesses. Also, if Isobel could do that to him, what's to stop her from doing the same to his children, strip them of their powers and hurt them and hurt Chloe? Normally, Clark can fight his opponents, but he's got no defense against magic, and that rightfully and understandably scares the shit out of him. If I were in his place, I'd be freaked out, too. Heck, I don't think I'd be able to be in the same room as that kid.

Still, I applaud him for trying to work through his fear. That took a lot of courage, and I could tell that it meant a lot to Casey, and also Jonathan. Speaking of Jonathan, I found it kinda odd that he was watching over the introductions of Isobel to Martha and Clark. Looks like he's taken it upon himself to watch over Isobel, just like Casey. And before I forget, I love how Casey hugged Martha. It was very enthusiastic and filled with emotion, which seems so out of character for Casey. I guess it just goes to show how much Isobel means to Casey.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting how Clark put Isobel between Andrew and Noley instead of by Casey or Jonathan. I wonder if he was trying to determine just how attached the two of them were to her, or if he was trying to isolate Isobel from those she feels most comfortable with in order to see how she behaves. Either way, it was an interesting choice on his part. Also, I LOVE how Clark kissed Chloe when he sat down. Good to see they're still very much in love, even after all these years and five kids. And I really loved Casey's reaction to Chlark's PDA. Typical and exactly what I'd expect from a teenager. I also love Clark's reaction to Casey's outburst. The guy is a great dad.

I find I'm liking the fact that Isobel is coming out of her shell a bit. Granted, it's just little things, but it still surprised me a bit when she said that she didn't really like the cranberry sauce. Somehow, I don't think that's something she would ordinarily say, but she must be feeling more comfortable with her surroundings and not afraid, or as afraid, to voice her opinions. Andrew's response was priceless, and exactly what I'd expect from an older brother. Of course, what surprised me the most was how it seemed like Isobel wasn't fed much, and when she was, she had to do something in order to get food and probably other things as well. It's sad to think that Isobel was treated like a lab animal, even if I'm not particularly fond of her. The spoon levitating was unexpected, and I think Clark's reaction was spot on. His borderline freak out made perfect sense, and I could see that his worst fears were coming true right before his eyes. I think he genuinely wanted to give Isobel a chance, but when he saw her use magic, he was scared to death of her and for his family. He hid it well, or at least as best he could. Can't say I'm surprised that he wanted Isobel gone, though. I'd do the same in his place. I'm also not surprised that Casey was upset by his decision and by his not giving Isobel more of a chance. What I did find surprising was how Clark turned to Jonathan for some counsel. Jonathan's words rang true, though, and I think they'll convince Clark to give Isobel anothe

Maybe I just missed something, or maybe I'm more naive than than I thought, but did Clark come off as a little more than paranoid? Did somebody expose him to black kyrptonite?

I mean, sure, so Isobel can do some telekinesis...big whoop. Connor Kent (Superboy) could lift a whole house with one hand and his tactile telekinesis. And hey, Maddie! Boy, she's dangerous when she's mad. I mean, glass will fly, and heads can literally start rolling.

Oh hey, check it out, the Kent children, five of them, each with the capacity to level cities in a minute. How is little Isobel so lethal in comparison with all that? :P

Not criticizing how you made Clark react. Like I said, I'm pretty darn sure I missed something, or maybe I'm a little more trusting in the best of someone than even Clark is, but I'm sure that there's a good reason for everything that's happening.

Great chapter. So glad you update so fast. :D

Looking forward to the next one.

I completely forgot Noley in my review! So sorry about that, and she’s definitely interesting here too. I like how not everyone is totally okay with the new Kent kid. Makes sense that Noley would feel threatened now that she suddenly has to share space with someone of the same age with her. I suddenly picture a whole series of mishaps happening on the Kent farm on account of Noley trying to one-up Isobel. It was so cute how the second she saw Isobel hanging on Lizzy, she immediately launched herself at her sister, fearing that she’s being replaced. Heck I see what might accidentally cause Isobel to fall to the dark side now. :P
Triage the Potterfan chapter 3 . 8/8/2013
Long ass review? Do you realize what you’ve just done? Take a look at TFS’s latest review and you’ll see the escalation that has begun. He’s going to write longer reviews than ever! Then if I try to outdo him…well, you get the idea. Glad I gave you some stuff to think about, because I look forward to seeing the results. :) And hey, laughter is good for the soul, but not if you die laughing, now don’t do that, please. You’re welcome all the same. And yes, I am The Fallen Sky’s long lost twin brother. I’m pretty sure I look nothing like him though.

Now, on to the subject at hand. To borrow and modify a quote from Lois Lane at the start of Chapter 3 on account of my no swearing policy: “Flying sacred excrement!”

No really, despite how disgusting that must sound, I mean it. This. Is. Amazing! I’ve just reread this chapter for the third time. No, I doubt I’d be reading chapter 4 four times and so on...oh who am I kidding? It’s you I’m talking about, I’m going to reread it hundreds of times! Oh yes, I’ve gone through “When Clark Comes Back”, “I Promise”, “I’ll Be Right Here”, and “Bring Her To Me” in order thirteen times now. Yes, all in the last three months alone. Apart from this story, I’m also eagerly anticipating the update of “You Make Daddy Sick”. 76 chapters, that’s impressive, but I think it’ll be a waste to leave it unfinished at this point. I realize this puts pressure on you in addition to whatever you may have going on in real life, but I would say at your own pace. But I’m just sharing this here to let you know I’m still interested to see the conclusion of that story. Jo’an is an adorable kid.

Now about this series of yours again: Charlie Loveleigh and Jeremiah Loveleigh. I’m confused about their relations to each other. In “Bring Her To Me”, it was mentioned that Jeremiah is Charlie’s grandson, in which case Jeremiah/Tracker/Heath would be Mor-El’s Great Grandson, but in the last parts of the story, he called her grandmother. Was this simply because he was shortening the title due to the constraint of time, or was this a typo? It’s really quite irrelevant overall to the entirety of the story, but I’m kind of big on family and placement, so I was just curious. And how or why did Charlie die, really? I mean after reading “Bring Her To Me”, and then going back to “I’ll Be Right Here”, I’m able to actually see the hints of Charlie’s Kryptonian heritage show in the form of his reflexes and his ability to “detect” meteor-infected people, on account of the Kryptonite in their systems affecting him. But if he’s Kryptonian, then I find that Clark’s explanation of him dying to a heart attack implausible. I’m fairly certain that was a cover up, but if Mor-El was taking possession of Lana’s body during the time when she was being transported to the hospital, surely she wouldn’t get violent with her own son? There’s just so much unanswered mysteries to his death. Oh, and WHAT were both he and Lois doing going out late into the night? Hope you can explain it, unless you DO plan to reveal all that in “Incarnate”, then it’s fine...

Sorry, I do tend to ramble and jump around much like The Fallen Sky does. :P

I hope we see Tracker soon in “Incarnate”, he’s too interesting to be forgotten after just one story. And from my previous readings of him, I get the feeling he’s not quite on the Kent kids’ level of powers, like he’s two-thirds human, one part Kryptonian which would make sense if he is indeed Charlie’s grandson rather than son. Oh, and Kara, where the heck is she?

Anyway, about the chapter (Whoops! Only now have I reached the review for the current chapter. Epic), as I said earlier, outstanding. There is definite progress in all the children, and most especially Casey. Though it was funny to see Andrew in such a awkward light with Isobel’s detached behavior, he’s normally so fiery and aggressive, but a nine-year old without a sense of modesty turns him into such a helpless person. Hmm, from what I’ve read about Isobel and the reaction of the people around her, I am detecting two distinct theories about her.

1) Rather than a “suit” like I originally believed from Chapter 2, the revelations of Chapter 3 has brought to light a new possibility that Isobel has been outfitted with multiple powers from numerous Meteor-Infected individuals, like the hybrid of a 33.1 experiment, combining cloning technology and all the Meteor-Infected DNA. To what purpose or endgame I leave to Luthorcorp, but I imagine it wouldn’t be for the betterment of society. And judging from some of the powers exhibited, she now has Superspeed, Charm, and Wishing. This puts her on par with Mxysptlk, the 5th dimension imp, who can literally will things to happen, but his lack of understanding on human limitations and mortality makes his activities dangerous. Because it seems to me like Casey’s behavior with Isobel is the result of some form of Charming, like she literally imprints herself into Casey, making Casey almost go out of her way to do beneficial things for Isobel, and Chloe too, but for Chloe it may not necessarily require a Charm because of her emotional connection to Lana. Not saying that Casey can’t do those things on her own, she is after all, maturing and growing, maybe this is her growing up, but as Jonathan thought: so drastic a change can’t be healthy. I’m pretty sure Andrew would question this further than Jonathan would, probably why Andrew isn’t around to see this, right? ;)

And the Wishing power, I think that was pretty obvious when she did something to Maddie’s baby, out of a desire to see the baby because she cannot understand the natural life cycle fully yet. And again, when Casey explained the dangers of a premature birth, Isobel stopped her Wish from being fulfilled. That seems like 5th Dimensional power right there. I hope Maddie gets to a hospital or have Dr. Emil show up again to check up on this event.

2) Isobel is really Isobel Margaret Thoreaux reborn for whatever reason you may have. In which case, I hope Casey and Chloe work VERY hard at turning her into someone good. I would say all reader’s perceptions would currently be focused on Isobel as being the sole potential antagonist because so far, you haven’t revealed or mentioned any other characters that could suitably take such a role.

And that’s it for Isobel.

I love Casey’s maternal behavior overall, but I think she heaved a sigh of relief and probably threw back on a couch for a moment when Jonathan took Isobel away for a bit. Just so she can be herself without having to control her behavior and language. I bet she was exploding on the inside when Noley bugged her on the way back from the mall and called her a donkey and so on. I’m amazed she didn’t turn red in the face in fury at her younger sister. But I definitely am enjoying her new personality in the sense that she’s so taken by Isobel and is really doing her darndest to make sure Isobel stays and officially joins the Kent family.

Lizzy. I LOVE LIZZY. In fact I’m totally going to make a T-shirt that says it and wear it everywhere I go. Then everyone will be like “Who’s Lizzy?” And I’ll tell them to go visit FanFiction and look for “Bring Her To Me”. I’m a little sad I’m not seeing her as much as in “Bring Her To Me”, but I suppose it’s fair, as it seems to be more about Casey, Isobel and Chloe. There’s something about Isobel’s fascination with Lizzy’s red hair, for sure. Earlier in their initial encounter, I can sort of understand. But now, in Chapter 3, Isobel almost has a fixation for Lizzy’s hair, and it was kind of out of character from how Isobel is normally calm and detached about everything else, but when she touched Lizzy’s hair, she became so enamored by it.

Jonathan. Definitely fun to see Jonathan more clearly defined. He’s certainly becoming more Clark-like, though even calmer than his father. And he seems to have an effect on Isobel from the looks of it. Wondering if there’s more than meets the eye in that regard.

Maddie. I’m a Maddie Van Horn fan, and I’m really hoping she gets to use her powers a bit more in this story. A thought just struck me with regards to the baby. Considering she’s more powerful in hyalokinesis than her father was, would Maddie’s child inherit the same powers too? And the childbirth! Oh my gosh, Maddie CANNOT have her baby at a hospital. Think about it! Birth pains, contractions, there won’t be a single unshattered glass left in the hospital. They will be asking way too many questions of Maddie then. Time for a good ol’ Kent Farm birthing.

By the way, I know it’s just a typo, but the bit where you wrote: “Chloe frowns. It seems Casey's forgotten she's in a bit of trouble for using fowl language around the little girl.” Made me imagine Casey clucking at Isobel. It was hilarious even though it’s obviously not intended to be stated that way. :P

Now THAT’S fowl language. :P

Also, A BIG. FAT. WELCOME BACK! We missed you, see the length of this Review? That’s how much I missed you.
The Fallen Sky chapter 3 . 8/4/2013
You're back! I'm so excited, I just wanna kiss you, but I won't, because I don't feel like getting a face full of pepper spray followed by having my ass thoroughly kicked. I'm so happy for you, by the way. It's great that you're moving on to bigger and better things in your life, but I hope you don't go leaving certain people behind *cough-me-cough* now that you're all 'I'm an adult now'.

Anyway, it's been a while, so I hope that I'm not too rusty when it comes to reviewing one of your stories. First, you're welcome for the last review, as always. Second, as much as I don't really wanna know about the Kent girls' cycles, I find it intriguing that you've set a predetermined time/age for them to kick in. I'm assuming it has something to do with Kryptonian physiology, but whatever the reason behind it, I like it. And Casey has lessons to learn about life? That's news to me. ;-) Seriously, that girl needs to learn pretty much everything about life, especially how to be a good sibling, a good friend, a good daughter, and a bunch of other 'goods'. I still don't know what her problem is. From the outside looking in, she's got no reason to act like a bitch, and yet she keeps doing it. Here's hoping Isobel will teach her to lighten up and put on a happy face.

Okay, so I know I tend to jump around in my reviews, and I'm gonna do it now. As much as I love this entire chapter, the ending had me pointing at my computer screen and yelling 'Evil!' at Isobel. I mean, DAMN! I, like Clark and Chloe, was worried that Isobel might actually take after the evil witch with whom she shares a name and a face, but to see it start to happen really freaked me out! Sure, she didn't intend to hurt Maddie, but she still did it, which leads me to believe she doesn't have any boundaries when it comes to using her powers. I hope the Kents realize that Isobel does indeed have witchy powers, because a lot of bad stuff could happen if they don't. I suspect that, once they figure it out, they'll probably want to get rid of her, and I wouldn't blame them, but I have a feeling Casey, and maybe even Chloe, will fight to keep her. Seeing how Isobel is a blank slate and can be taught to behave and not misuse and abuse her powers, keeping her around could work out just fine. However, if at some point, Isobel regains all of her old memories, the Kents will be in deep shit.

Freakiness aside, I actually loved the interaction between Isobel, Casey and Maddie. I couldn't help but wonder if Isobel's fascination with Maddie's pregnant belly was because part of her, the Lana part, remembered being pregnant with Lizzy. I think it's a strong possibility, especially when you consider her fascination with Lizzy's hair. Personally, I think Isobel remembers Lizzy, maybe not on a conscious level, though. At the very least, I think the two of them share a connection. And of everyone, I think Maddie suspects that Isobel isn't what she seems, that she's got some unknown powers and that she was responsible for her early labor. Speaking of Maddie's premature labor, that was majorly scary. I like Maddie, always have, and I didn't want her to lose the baby or to get hurt herself. Luckily, Isobel stopped what she was doing, and mom and baby are just fine, but the baby shower was ruined. I hope you don't just brush off that incident, because Maddie needs to see a doctor right away and get checked out. I mean, blood was running down her legs! That's not the kinda thing you just ignore. Perhaps the best part of this surreal and terrifying incident was when Isobel was staring at Maddie's belly and Casey told her there was a baby in there, and Isobel asked who put it there, and Casey told her it was Maddie's husband, and Isobel asked how, and Casey started to freak out a little and told her she'd tell her later. I so wanted Casey to try to explain sex to Isobel!

Okay, back to the beginning.

Gotta say, I love Lois' reaction to seeing Isobel. So Lois! And I love the back and forth between Chloe and Casey. Chloe is great at the 'mom arguing'. You know, the voice inflections and limited number of words that communicate so much and cause the kid to go on the defensive and try to cover their ass. Anyway, I find it interesting how Casey refused to leave Isobel's side. She's definitely taken a motherly role with the kid, which is weird to see from Casey. However, I like it, because Casey is much nicer to everyone and more thoughtful with regards to the needs of others. Maybe she isn't a lost cause after all? I also like how Casey, in her mind, is defending Isobel after she heard her father say that it might not be a good idea to keep her. Granted, the Kent kids can be dangerous, but Casey never had the misfortune of meeting the real Isobel and seeing just how powerful and dangerous and evil she was, so she really can't compare herself and her siblings with this Isobel. However, Casey and Chloe are right; Isobel can be taught to be good, assuming that she doesn't have any memories of her past life when she was an evil witch.

Another sign that Casey is maturing is how she wanted to get Isobel some new clothes, specifically some dresses, because Isobel only likes to wear dresses. That was very sweet of her, which again was odd to see, but I'd like to see more of this side of her. I also liked the fact that you made reference to the fact that the Kents aren't rich. I never expected them to be, especially with five kids, but I think it helps to illustrate that the Kents, the kids included, aren't spoiled and appreciate what they have. It also helped show how selfless Casey was when she volunteered to use her own money to buy Isobel some new clothes. Also, I love that Chloe said Isobel could wear some of Noley's old things. That's how you do it in real life, good ole hand-me-downs. Casey again showed her caring for Isobel when she didn't want her to have to wear such...eccentric clothing.

I wasn't the least bit surprised that Noley wanted to go with Casey and Isobel to the mall. Nor was I surprised that Casey didn't want her to go. For a second there, I almost thought Casey would revert to her old self and bitch and moan and act like a brat, but she didn't. It didn't hurt that Chloe told her to take Noley along and that if she didn't then no one was going to the mall. Man, Chloe is an awesome mom! And I very much enjoyed seeing Noley call Casey a donkey when they got back a few hours later. That kid cracks me up! I can even understand why Noley did it. After all, she wanted Casey to buy her something, too, and it didn't happen. To Noley, that just meant that Casey cared more about Isobel than her and Noley didn't take that well. Casey handled it like a pro, though. I'm constantly surprised by her restraint, and all because she wants to set a good example for Isobel.

I simply loved seeing Jonathan! He's gotta be the sweetest of the Kent kids, along with Lizzy. I mean, he brought him mom wild flowers just because he thought she'd like them? Who does that? And it was a sincere gesture, too! I loved Lois reaction to Chloe getting flowers. Figures she'd want some of her own so as not to be one-upped by her cousin. By the way, I love your Lois. She's exactly what I like in a Lois and very much reminds me of Lois on SV around seasons 4 & 5. Anyway, I love how Jonathan was quick to accept Isobel as his new sister and how he showed his appreciation for Casey and how she's maturing. He's a good dude. Makes me wonder why he doesn't have a girlfriend. Anyway, I found Isobel's reaction to Jonathan very interesting. She seemed like she knew him because of the way she was looking at him and how she felt at ease around him and how she smiled without being prompted to do so. Personally, I think the part of her that's Lana remembers Clark, and Jonathan must have reminded her of him. If that's the case, I can't wait to see how Isobel reacts to seeing Clark. Part of me thinks that she'll be instantly enamored, because of Lana, and another part of me thinks she'll be upset and not like him, because of Isobel the witch.

Regardless of how she reacts to Clark, it's nice to see the Kent kids accepting her into the fold, for the most part. I wasn't the least bit surprised that Noley was jealous of Lizzy holding Isobel. As the baby, Noley is used to getting the bulk of the attention, and she's gonna have a hard time adjusting to the fact that Isobel is essentially the 'baby' now. I doubt it'll cause too much trouble, except for the times when Lizzy or Chloe or Clark are paying more attention to Isobel than to her. In any event, I look forward to seeing how these new dynamics between the Kents evolve as Isobel continues to become part of the family.

I think I covered everything, but even if I didn't, I bet you're pretty tired of listening to me ramble, so I think I'll end things here. This is yet another awesome chapter to an awesome story which is part of an extremely awesome series. Basically, this was AWESOME! Seriously, you haven't lost a beat with your writing, and your OCs are still the absolute best in the business! I can't wait to see what's in store for the Kents and Isobel. No matter what happens, I really hope she doesn't turn evil, because I'd hate to have to see her get locked up or put down or whatever you do with the spawn of Satan.

Truly excellent work, my friend!
Triage the Potterfan chapter 2 . 6/8/2013
D'oh, gosh...I just spent like three days, going through "When Clark Comes Back", "I Promise", "I'll Be Right Here", and "Bring Her To Me". The latter is my most favorite one, just so you know, because I really love your OCs, especially Lizzy. I just find her very appealing, and I love the bond she has with Chloe. Though I am concerned that in the final chapters she seemed to be trying too hard to keep to her promise to herself. Personally I think I liked her better BK (Before the kidnapping), but I understand that it would be unrealistic if she wasn't affected or changed in the slightest from such a horrific experience. However, I am relieved to see that she's at least reverted to calling Chloe 'mama' again, nonetheless, I wish there was more elaboration, or at least some more conversation between Lizzy and Chloe, to sort of work out where their relationship stands and how it should go. I noticed that Lizzy matched her mother's habits the most, and as such, I actually felt Chloe's pain when Lizzy suddenly tries to grow up too quickly to sort of make up for lost time for herself. But after sixteen years, I would think it'll be hard when your daughter makes such abrupt and even forceful changes to herself, not thinking that maybe consistency is needed not just by the child but sometimes by the parents too.

And here I thought I would not be writing as much as The Fallen Sky, but what can I say? I'm hooked on your stories and your style. I was worried that by having so many First-Person POVs written out you run the risk of confusing or jumbling up the story too much to make it good, but what was I thinking? You're the creator of Moira, Johnathan, Andrew, Casey, Noley, Mor-el, Jeremiah, Charlie Loveleigh (I still don't understand how/why he died), Sammy, Mikey...did I miss any others? Yes, I'm sure I did, but that does not mean I do not admire them as much as the others I named, because they are all *so* well developed and thought out. It's simply amazing how they aren't just cardboard characters cut-out to fill up a room or a conversation, but rather they are people with histories, individual feelings and such a strength of presence and originality that I seriously wish now that you will soon crete/produce/direct Smallville: Redo.

Seriously. I wish it.

By the way, I'm wondering, are there any actors/actresses whose appearance you base the Kent kids on? Like for Lizzy, I imagine her looks to be like Nancy Lukey (Bella Thorne) from Wizards of Waverly Place, and Johnny to be like a younger Clark Kent (Tom Welling). Heh, I pictured Andrew (don't kill me) to look like a younger Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) for some reason, and Casey a very much younger, more cynical and sarcastic Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), but you did say she kind of looks most like her. The minute you mentioned Ramona, Noley's appearance turned into Ramona for me, permanently. So you can imagine how it looked in my mind when she went to the rescue of Mikey a.k.a. Kal-El, and fought with Kara. Well, for that matter, it was the same with Casey. I mean, first of all, they were half-kryptonian only, and then, they were *so much* younger than her, I was really worried when I read through that part. But I'm glad she gradually stopped fighting, even though Casey was still strangling her.

By the way, about Kara. I get the feeling you didn't really want her there, and she was almost always completely in the background or too-quickly forgotten in narrations. But I hope we'll get to see her here in "Incarnate". She's the only other full Kryptonian besides Clark, I think she gives some much needed back-up in terms of literal firepower, not that I would underestimate the capabilities of four half-Kryptonian youths who are also immune to green kryptonite. I say four because as I remember it, Lizzy's still vulnerable to them, right? I wonder if there'll be more elaborations on the whole brain tumor bit when she's exposed to blue k, that bit makes me sympathize more for her, and again I hope she kind of reverts back a bit to her personality from BK, because I really like her that way, and personally I still think she'd still be dangerous in that condition, considering that she is the first to learn how to fly. I see a Supergirl II coming up alongside Kara.

Okay, I know, I'm hung up on Lizzy too much. Moving on…

Concerns about the Lana clone: Oh yeah, I'm flashing back to Season 8. When Lana gets herself that "suit". I honestly don't know why everyone kept calling it a "suit". I mean yeah, I get it, it's her new *birthday suit*! I mean because the "suit" is basically grafted onto her skin. But I think it's better to say that it IS her skin! I mean that honestly makes more sense to me. That aside, you've only shown her (the clone) having superspeed, though still not on par with Andrew or Casey, but that's probably because she's young, inexperienced, shorter, not as powerful, or all of the above. Either way, I suppose time will reveal whether my fears are warranted or not. Because I think a mind-controlled little Lana with the powers of a Season 8 "suit" is probably going to be the scariest thing next to Clark or Lizzy getting hit by a thousand-pound ball of kryptonite…oooh…I just remembered….that stupid "suit" also absorbs Kryptonite into the wearer, making them deadly to Kryptonians. I can already see how this can become disastrous.

Anyhow, I'm just grasping at straws here. Looking forward to seeing the next update.

Hold on…I have decide to activate FanGirl mode, beginning now:

HarmonyPotter chapter 2 . 5/28/2013
Ha, that was the best episode ever when Isobel possessed Lana with Chloe and Lois along for the ride. So, are the Kents going to adopt Isobel Lana? I wonder what Clark will think about that. 6 kids! Lol
HarmonyPotter chapter 1 . 5/28/2013
Wow! I just finished the whole When Clark Comes Back series and Bring Her To Me, and I was so excited to see that you made a "spin-off." I absolutely love the Kent kids. They are seriously the best, and that's really impressive considering they are OCs. Oh, Lex and his creepy ways... I don't want to think of him in a bad light because I rewatched Lex-mas last night and cried because he looked so happy, but you know. He's still creepy. Wonder how many of these, um, kids with special abilities were kept in the mansion.
Guest chapter 2 . 5/24/2013
Honestly, Casey is my favorite too. Lizzy is my least... I know I'm as horrible person. Lizzy's been through so much, but I don't know. Something about her just irks me lol. Yep, I'm horrible. Anyways, is lana ever going to stop bothering the kents? Even when she's dead, she's messing with them somehow. Or is she really dead? I kind of got confused with the zod and mor-el stuff. So in Bring Her To Me, zod took over lex... Brainiac used lana's body ( which had mor-el's, uh, soul using it) as a vessel. Then they all got sent somewhere somehow at the end. Is that right or did i just totally bomb it?
