Dang. Kaien is really regretting calling him a Shiba lol. I wonder if Aizen and Ichigo will ever be friends, as Aizen probably isn’t completely bad yet. Also, Ichigo is probably as strong or stronger than him right now. Aizen would probably want to actually be friends because he met his equal. But still, I wonder why Aizen hates the Kuchiki so much. Maybe the clan or person in particular did something bad to him. Still, I love this and hope you add more to this story!

Well, overall, has potential. I'll be interested to see where you go with this. My advice would be to keep track of which point of view you're in (those errors were consistent) and to try and be cautious of making your instructors (and, potentially, other characters) one-dimensional. But don't worry about it too much. The most important thing, after all, is to enjoy writing. Have fun, and I'll see you next chapter.

I'm a little bewildered by how upset Yoruichi's mother gets. And also by Kaien's statement that Ichigo was winding her up all class. It seems to me like Ichigo growled at some inner thought and then got attacked for basically no reason? I could understand if it was a military "you're not paying attention" kind of thing, but it doesn't seem, in the end, like that's what you were going for. Instead, Yoruhyo comes across as painfully insecure, what with that comment on her own ability to teach, and being angry at him even after he proved he could perform the given exercise. And I don't see why she should be afraid of him; he's basically admitted to having gotten private tutoring elsewhere. He's been claimed by a noble clan; that shouldn't be too farfetched.

...So, this is me not logging in just yet, being lazy... In any case, just noting that you tend to switch between third and first person this chapter. Mostly you use "I" instead of "Ichigo", but there's one instance of "my" at the very end, as well. Just mentioning since it's something I find makes the story a little uncomfortable to read. Of course, as a writer, I've sometimes found myself suddenly in the present tense instead of past without even realizing it, which is both disconcerting and extremely irritating. So just take it as something to watch out for.

Okay, now to read the rest. Tiny grammatical notes aside, I'm certainly enjoying this so far.
