Also what I forgot to say so far, I really love how well you get into the heads of everyone. There were some things about Derek in Season 1, about why he was the way he was, that I hadn't really thought about but that made so much sense when you wrote them. Brilliant!

I think it would have worked better as a friendship fic. Nicely written, but the romance seemed forced compared to the careful friendship building.
