A very good start. But I think you need to organize your story, and maybe begin with some character arcs, starting first with Axton, then switching to the others. These arcs should explain their pasts, their bounties and include a antagonist from each character's background. For example Axton would face a ex-teammate who want to bring him in for his war crimes, while Maya has a retainer from her cult trying to drag her back to the cult compound.

I like this story very much, keep up the good work!

I really liked this a lot.

Master Chief in Borderlands sounds damn epic to me. It's a cool idea if you follow the main game plot, but don't follow in exactly the same ways. Being the Chief opens up new avenues.

I'm also looking forward to Chief/Angel and how you plan on bringing that about.
