Another return to read story. I love the reality that Tony is more than a clown.

This was great. I loved all the people who came in to see Tony. But seriously he is the one who is usually always injured, poor Tony. Everyone threatening Gibbs about the head slaps lol.
Senior as ahole as always, but I hope that help the teams respect Tony a bit more. So much I want to say but to be simple I totally dig this fic.

Intriguing situation. No it is clearly Abby's fault. Keep still and stay back is not hard to understand. Unfortunately Abby doesn't believe those orders or any orders pertain to her.

That was the sweetest story-really enjoyed it. So nice to see Tony from some unexpected perspectives...clever. He is certainly my favorite character and so it is nice to see him portrayed as strong, capable, and caring. Thank you.

At least this hospital stay has one positive outcome - it opened Gibbs eyes about how easily he's let himself fool by Tony's masks. Let's hope he won't forget in the future who the real Tony is.

There's just no words to say about Senior. As usual he cares about himself. But obviously he knows that Abby, Tim and Ziva (though she seems in this case to be the most critical) fall for his masks as much as they fall for Tony's, so he pretends (rather badly in my eyes) to care about his son. At least Gibbs isn't falling for it but has Tony's back for once.

My favorite part is when Tony is honest about Gibbs' lack to support him on the smaller things. That must sting when you're Gibbs. Maybe he learns from it.

This is probably my favorite visitor :). I like Nikki a lot, including her germophobia, and she's definitely smart. Seems to me she's pegged Ziva and Tim pretty good, but of course Gibbs doesn't believe her. He's pretty ignorant that way. Although, maybe hearing it from someone "neutral" opens his eyes and he pays more attention. One can only hope ;).

Hm, so was Gibbs afraid Tony had gotten someone pregnant and didn't know about it? He seems to think the worst of Tony a lot. I loved Pam's explanation of Tony's flirting. Sound perfectly reasonable to me. ROFL, I love how they ALL warn Gibbs about the headslaps in different ways. Brilliant.

Seriously, I can accept that there's (a lot) stuff about Tony Gibbs doesn't know. But it seems he shows a lot of disbelief when these people come and say positive things about Tony. Again here, when Jake mentions him as a mentor to Phil. Just because Ziva and Tim sit on their high horse and refuse to believe Tony could teach them anything, doesn't mean he hasn't done exactly that. And could do it with other people. Pretty ignorant. And stupid.

Oh, Delores! Another person to show how little Gibbs knows about Tony in particular this time. I like that Delores hasn't really told him anything. I wonder if the balloon has some special meaning. But I hope the reddish tint of her hair doesn't attract Gibbs all of the sudden...she "belongs" to Tony :).

So, the visitors show Gibbs how little he really knows about Tony, huh? And once again Gibbs has made pretty insulting assumptions about Tony - that because he didn't like being Agent Afloat he wouldn't do his job with all his heart. Tsk, never assume, Agent Gibbs ;). Even more I love the little poke at the team dynamics. Seems like Gibbs is in need of some glasses not only for reading, but in general if he doesn't see how screwed those dynamics are.

I felt Gibbs question to Melanie what she thought he had in addition to brawn was pretty insulting. Considering the usual distinction between brains and brawns it is the most obvious choice and Gibbs asking her implies (at least in my eyes) that he doesn't believe Tony has the brains. Yes, Gibbs, no head slaps. I can agree with that. :)

I see you're putting your stories out on AO3 as well - which is fun because I barely manage to keep up with new stories so I rarely find the time to read older stories unknown to me. But now notifications pop up for them and I start reading them. And then I ran over here to read the whole thing. Anyway...

I doubt you're sorry about the whumping. You shouldn't be, because this is seriously one of the most original ideas for whumping Tony (or anybody else) I've ever read. A bar bee cue, love it. The whole situation is completely hilarious and of course Tony ends up in the hospital. But honestly, a bunch of federal agents freaks out because of one of Tony's movie stories? Pfft. And Abby mourning the bees after she rallied them up? Only to hide between her parasol? That doesn't deserve a comment ;).

Lovely idea, can't wait to see what you have in store!

I don't know how I managed to miss this story, but I loved it. About time Gibbs had his eyes opened and made to see Tony as others see him . And how Gibbs realized that he had quit seeing the real Tony and only ever say the mask. I did not like how Gibbs just dismissed what Nikki said about Tim and Ziva, but it was expected for him to jump to their defence.
I enjoyed how Tony let Gibbs know that he trusted him on the big things but made it clear without words that Tony knew he couldn't depend on him for the smaller things. That's like saying I trust you to have my six out in the field, but not to have my six any place else.

You are left to wonder just how stupid Tim and Abby really are. Senior saying he has to leave for the Cannes the next morning when Abby told him he could take care of Tony, and his excuses he gave Tim about not wanting to disturb Tony and that he would probably want to sleep. It's clear that Senior didn't come to see Tony but more than likely try and steal what he could get his hands on. Also add in the fact that he probably figured that Tony would have his credit card numbers and his bank account numbers laying around someplace, like an old bill or a statement.

I loved how at the end Gibbs told Tony that he had a lot of people that REALLY cared about him. It seems that Gibbs has finally realized that Abby, Tim and Ziva don't. Gibbs had forgotten and all those visitors reminded him what he had forgotten. But the total shock on Abby's, Tim's, Ziva's and Seniors faces clearly told Gibbs that not one of them know Tony at all and that they didn't care for him, Because if they had really cared everything Gibbs had told them would not have been a shock to them.
Now what would have been really funny, since Abby always likes to offer up other peoples places and things to others that Gibbs tell Senior he was sure that Abby would just love to have him stay with her instead. And he was sure that Tim would gladly take him anyplace he needed to go while he was in town
