This, this is why I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Chrom/Robin is the *best* possible pairing in Awakening. It just adds so much to the story and adds so much more depth and impact to scenes like this one. You wrote an amazing piece with this one, I was pretty choked up throughout the story and almost crying quite a few times. Thank you for this, it was an excellent read :D

I'm sure you know how many versions of this scene are out there. It seems to be the first thing new FEA writers ever try. And I've read through pretty much all of them.

And this one stands out like a shining beacon. It is amazing. Some do little more than quote the game verbatim, but you've added so much more, explained so much more, delved so deeply into the emotions and background for both characters... This is by far and away the absolute best I've read. Finally, a truly worthy version that doesn't just do the game justice, but adds so much more to it, and even outshines the original.

Beautiful. Lovely. Admittedly I'm a sucker for tragedy, angst, and hurt/comfort. I enjoy the pain of others and this is positively delightful. This actually helped me decide to get Fire emblem, just so I can see what happens when I go down this path. Seeing and feeling Lucina's struggle is simply heartbreaking, especially when Robin just accepts it like that, magnificent. I don't think there are enough words to describe how great this is.

Oh Gods... I'm welling up here. Which is not helped by listening to "Sorrow" as I read. I've quite literally got my fingers under my eyes, telling myself to woman the hell up.

This was... Incredible. There were so many points which made my heart swell or make me smile wryly. I could feel Lucina's pain throughout, even in knowing that the parents she has now are not the parents she once had. Robin was perfectly in character and I adored her motherly attitude. She is like a grizzly bear if anyone dares to even so much as look funnily at Lucina, isn't she? You craft your words beautifully and each emotion was deep and painstakingly raw. Whilst I wish you had included Chrom and Morgan a bit more to reinforce that they are a full family unit of four (try saying THAT a few times! Haha), I did love this.

Emotional conflict seems to be your forte! There were many tears shed while reading this, but oh how beautiful it was. Excellent work, I eagerly await your future stories.

That was a really heartfelt version of the scene, and the background between Lucina and Avatar. I really enjoyed it, though I /WAS/ expecting the whole, "Are you guys done yet?" line from Chrom. But that's all right. It was great anyway!

Wow ... this is just ... fantastic! Superb, virtually flawless!

I know I sound like I'm just gushing but I'm also serious. You take one of the most powerful scenes in the game and make it even better. Expanding upon that scene, interweaving the game's dialgoue with additional text, the excellent writing, descriptions, and exploration of Lucain's thoughts throughout the whole thing was just so very well done and very fitting to the characters and the game. Even better, the scene is intersperced with other mother-daugher scenes to really make it hit home. Leaving out Chrom walking in after Lucina finds herself unable to slay her mother was a powerful touch.

Maybe I'm just too enamoured how excellent this story, but I couldn't spot any errors of any sort. This is an easy favorite for me! Wonderful, wonderful work!

Oh, I'm glad you wrote it between mother and daughter only and not have Chrom interfere. It was more dramatic! I got so teary-eyed, lol! I had to wipe my eyes once! I wish you would write more! I love your two FE stories! Your writing is just lovely! :) -kuro

Ahhh... This was painful to read, but in a very good way. It hurt thinking about what those two had to go through in this moment, and you captured it so well without rushing or making it feel too drawn out. The snippets of memory between the scenes of confrontation were excellent and well-written, making it feel as if they could have been in canon. It was great the way your style captured this moment so well.

I really liked this fic, it's most definitely going into my favourites. I hope to see more work like this in the fanfiction section for FE:A. This was amazing work. You definitely have a fan in me.

All I can say is wow. I've read several interpretation of this moment before but I like yours the most. its not over-dramatic and I loved the snippets of scenes that happened between Robin and Lucina. And there was also no butchering up of their canon personalities too so thats a big plus!
