I know you were hoping to not set anyone's tears off, but...goddamn that ending is so sweet! *wipes eyes* So adorable! This is definitely one of the best One Piece fanfics I've read. It's just so...I don't even know! It's just amazing! Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go and watch the Marineford arc again.

It's really, really interesting how strong you've made Ace turn out to be! It's not often this sort of plot is written as a oneshot too. XD Usually it can drag, with all the insanity of the situations and dramatic, emotional breakdowns.

But they've both found their freedoms somehow, which is great and has that tinge of bittersweet when Ace lets go.
