Pretty realistic reaction from Remus. I like Peter's fear in this - it shows why he might have found it easy to pull away. Maybe James and Sirius, in such a situation, would be been a little more serious?

One of the best parts about this is how you captured James and Sirius being assholes (about Remus, about Peter, about Severus, about the whole way they conducted this whole thing) while also being really caring.

Aw I loved this too, loveable prats.

This is really well written, especially their conversation right before confronting Remus, and Remus denying it was amazing and also slightly heartbreaking when he was being mean to James, Sirius and Peter so they would let him go. The characters are fabulously portrayed, and I love their conversations. The only thing I would change is that I don't think that they would have found out in only two months and then wait so long to tell him or come up with the animagus idea straight away, but otherwise everything was beautifully written! I enjoyed reading this.
