! This is absolutely one of my favorite Merlin fics I’ve ever read (and I’ve spent my quarantine reading a LOT of those). The plotexecution of it were really well done, and I enjoyed it so much—I stayed up late yesterday reading it and spent most of today reading it too, I couldn’t put it down. Wish there wasn’t so much ableist language some parts, but it’s definitely still the best season 5 alternative I’ve read! Thanks for sharing, keep writing, your stories are excellent and your characterization is incredible.

You used the wrong word for Chapter 16. It should be “Destiny and Chicken”, not “Destiny and Doom”. *winks*

I like how Arthur is quick to notice and draw conclusions. They may be the wrong ones, but you wrote it in a way that didn't make Arthur come across as... stupid. He's just making a huge assumption on a key fact.

Also snarky Merlin is good.

This is a good chapter. Gwil is an interesting villian, someone who doesn't have sword skill or magic skill but still a unique set of skills to be believably interesting and able to get the drop on Merlin. Having a sorcerer on the payroll helps or course, heh.

This was my first Merlin story to read, about six months ago just as I was starting on season 4. I'm re-reading it again and still enjoying this first chapter!

it's really a great narration, specialy the end we can see that you improved ...there was really a rhytme into it .
I loved your actions scene there were believable and I easely pictured them as in a movie
an other good point you weren't off model doing the conversation between the two
When I wrote great with the narration it's really true...more often in a lot of fanfic the problem is lasting
here the story line is less visible than in lot ...and you did add other peripecies to their journey .
So I wasn't annoyed with it (no "oh but it's far to longbecause the main point was a simply as" straighting things up"
Even the events were well put consequences of before hand actions
there was a bit of "deus ex machina" but not every one of them was bad (and it might helps to the story, and it was possible thx to merlin universe so it's just me ...)
If I've donne grammar mistake could u tell me (I'm trying to improve my english..)
