How the heck did I not review this?! I thought for sure I did! I've literally read this story 6 times, and it is amazing and the best JessicaXRoger story I've ever read. You're writing is awesome!

I have to say, Jessica having a bad day with harassment and ready to give Roger what for only for the rabbit to act contrary to her expectations was a delight to read. Then there's the moment when Roger made her laugh, which was not only amusing on its on merits due to that "Happy Birthday" bit, but was also demonstrates the reason that Jessica gave in the movie on why she's with him.

Also I can't help but be amused at the thought of Jessica singing that song in the way she did to Roger on his birthdays after their married. Would be a nice way for them to reminisce about one of their first interactions and the humor involved. Though I wouldn't be surprised if she sings that song on Roger's birthdays while they were home alone to allow for more... intimate activities to start between the two.

Anyway, this was a strong start to a wonderful story.

A good one

If I were Jessica, I'd probably become insecure about my ability to be attractive on levels other than my body. While we know Jessica is clever and capable, until now she hasn't had someone not in lust with her, meaning she hasn't been able to know how attractive her nonphysical traits are.
Also perhaps a fear of being more dependent than she thought. All guys have been falling over her, and she finally meets one who doesn't. At first she tests, then thinks they're friends, then finds she's flirting. It would make me wonder if underneath, I was only attracted to the challenge.

This made me stop breathing for a second at the cuteness! Bravo!

I love this! This is such a believable explanation as to how they met and fell in love, with everyone being totally in-character! I especially found the part about Roger wanting to make Jessica laugh adorable. And the end of chapter 5 was really, really sweet. In fact, pretty much the whole thing was sweet! I kind of made an inhuman noise (kind of like "EEEEEEEEEE!") at some parts. X3

Just one problem, though. This will be set in probably the early 1940s, but there are a couple of anachronisms (a thing belonging or appropriate to a period other than that in which it exists) in this fic. For example, Marilyn Monroe sung "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" in 1962 - although that one could be forgiven, because its not like she owns that song. And Disney gave Goofy a son in Goof Troop, which started in 1992. And Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum were in Alice in Wonderland, released in 1951, along with 101 Dalmations being released ten years later. And the song that Jessica sings, "L-O-V-E", was originally written in 1965. I'm so sorry if I come across as being nit-picky, but these things kind of bothered me.
