I don't usually review but this story was too good for all those people leaving nitty-gritty complaints. Ally is NOT a Mary Sue, she's incredibly smart and that's fine! Her dislike towards River Song is justified and you know what? I've read other authors who have literally made River a psychopath and they were praised for it. Why? Because it's a different take on the characters. That's the thing about Doctor Who, each of its characters are so complex that fanfic authors can take some of their characteristics and hone in on them. You've done that here as well as in your next story. So I hope you don't listen to that criticism, especially when some of them are only complaining about small details nobody cares about. Like a wrong use of a word in a different country!
Can't wait to see what happens with Ally - sorry, ALEX (because I don't want 11 on my backside for it)! Keep on writing!

rereading this again and thinking about Alex and university she technically could have got into uni in england with a student loan or she could have even applied for the open university where you mainly take classes on line and you don't need any grades for it. So I don't see why she seems slighty upset about it.
