this was really good. i really liked how you ended it with the hint of thoughtfulness. I love light-hearted stories but adding real world things like how you or I would feel, struggling between whether I should be focusing on finding my dad and trying to figure out feelings for a guy too?
I like when people add realistic qualities. :)

The way you described April's feelings about Donnie is perfect! I think she's aware that Donnie loves her, but she's just not in the mood to be in a relasionship because her dad got kidnapped.
