Absolutely speechless, a terribly wonderful story that just takes away my breath... I've probably come back to reread this story 4 or 5 times by now and it still never grows old. Heart wrenching, with amazing characterizations and showing a more dimensional view of what our poor Merlin had gone through over the years. I truly appreciate this story, and it stands not only as one of my favorite stories on the Merlin fandom, but once odd my favorite stories that I've ever read- thank you so much for sharing! 3

This story was the epitome of bittersweet. There were places were it was almost too painful to continue reading, but I kept on and am glad I did. I rarely cry when I read fic, and you made me do that twice - during the fall of Camelot and at the end of the story. I loved the bit about the blue butterflies, and the last line of the fic was perfect. I'm in a quandary as to whether or not to favorite this fic, though. I usually only favorite fics I think I'd like to read again, and I don't think I can bring myself to read this more than once. I think I'll go ahead, though, in case it leads in a roundabout way to others finding this fic. It's well worth the read.

Wow. I really enjoyed reading this story! It was a rollercoaster of emotions and feels, especially the last three chapters! And I loved all the OCs like Cricket, Merlin's adoptive mother, and the hilarious, sweet hearted, sassy nurse that took care of Merlin. :,) And the ending was absolutely perfect! I'm glad that Arthur and Merlin and everyone that Merlin ever helped are now in Avalon and living peacefully. Lord knows Merlin deserves the rest. Thank you so much for creating and publishing this story...it's definitely one of my favorite Merlin Modern AUs ever, if not my most favorite. Pretty sure this is the best one out of all of them, though! :)

Finally found time to read this story and although I am not usually bog on the 'coming back of Arthur" I have to say I loved this.
Your treatment of Merlin's time alone really hit the right note. I always felt that no-one could possibly spend that much time alive without issues/madness. I loved how you sent him to the forest to just "go wild" and allowed him to sleep for long periods of time. How magic/fate sent him away to recover and not remember - brilliant.
Arthur and Gwaine were perfect. What a sight that would be today to see Arthur in full fight!
Anyway, just wanted to pass on my thanks for an excellent story.

This was really beautifully written. Poor Merlin, all that pain and despair after living alone all that time. Love how you described their newly growing bond and wrote the humor that the show was so very good at. Really loved reading this.

That was a gorgeous ending. It filled in the pain of the series ending so well. Just, gosh, bravo, so well done. I have loved every story you have written because it fills in something inside.
