This was so sad and beautiful at the same time! Very bittersweet; and it makes me want to be hopeful for all of these ladies.

I like this story a lot. Life goes on as it should and must. Of course, a crazy old sentimentalist like me really hopes to see a few sons show up at this house some day. Thanks for sharing.

loved how slowly you pace this, until one day... oh look, see how things have changed. (And I am suddenly reminded of an Elyne Mitchell story where Thowra brings pretty mares home for his grandson in hopes that having such a lovely welcome will return him from wherever it is he has gone missing)
