At any rate you get Eska's over-analyzing (and here slightly pessimistic) attitude quite fitting although Bolin seemed to be rather childish, weepy and immature than his usual laid-back self. Nevertheless his last sentence was kinda sweet.
I would say that the snow scene was a bit too exaggerated, but well; somewhere you have to tie on an dialogue so why not with lying in the snow?
Nice idea you've thought of Pabu even though Bolin mistakened Eska for him.

I definitely see the humor. Bolin is childish, but funny. He can't beat Bumi in sheer hilarity, though.
