I think you catched exactly Snapes personality and thoughts and your fanfiction brought me to tears. If the ending would be a better one, I would be the happiest person on earth, but I know that this isn't possible though.

Wow, this got to be my favourite part of DH. It is strong, you know, the type of text that make you think and feel whatever you want it or not, the type of text that stays with you. Hell, I think Snape was more in character here, then we were ever allowed to see of him in canon... no this is canon from for narration's sake forbidden viewpoint. And forbidden fruit taste best.

Well done. I like the interpretation of his thoughts and feelings. Severus truly is a tragic character most of all because for most of the story and perhaps after no one really knows what he has sacrificed. You have illustrated it beautifully here though.
