I love the way you write the banter between Kono and Danny (especially your portrayal of Danny), as it's always spot on...like the way he STILL calls her "rookie".

"Jealous Steve" is the cutest thing ever! I'm surprised he even lasted FIVE minutes before asking Kono about who she was going to the fashion show with.

I swear to God, when Danny said this - "'I can't believe you haven't already. You basically staked out that jewelry store for weeks before you even-" - I immediately thought "oh my God, he's gonna propose to her!" (wishful thinking on my part, or just my continuing obsession with wanting a McKono proposal/wedding from you? Or both?) P. Whilst he didn't, I did love the way he finally gave her her present...and laughed out loud at their reactions to being caught by Chin!

What a sweet birthday story for Kono (with perfect presents)! It's pretty wonderful to 'see" them date through this AU world you created. I love how easy, natural and loving their relationship is both in and out of work. I hope you write tons more stories in this AU :) Btw, Steve is so lucky to have Danny (to remind him of Kono's birthday among other things).

Looool, yes! This fic was perf on all sides! My fave scene had to have been when Kono & Steve went to the crime lab & Charlie handed her two tickets to the fashion show. Omgggg. I'm still dying after reading that & imagining Steve's reaction in my head. & I love how Danny brings it up in the end, too. I love that you portray Danny getting under Steve's skin so well. Oh, I forgot to mention this in your other fic, but omg, Grace! I cannot imagine her as a teenager & driving. I'm so weirded out! But, it's a refreshing weird, if you get my drift. Shows how long the team has been committed to one another & they're still the same ohana we know & love. Love how Danny made a big deal about the jewelry, too, & how Chin walked in on them making out. Haha, poor Chin Ho!
